UP FOR AUCTION IS A NUMBERS MATCHING 1979 PONTIAC 4SP 400 BIG BLOCK TRANS AM AND YES THE CAR DOES RUN AND DRIVE. THIS RARE TRANS AM IS A HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THE COLOR, THE 4SPD AND BECAUSE IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE POWERFUL 400 BIG BLOCK WHICH WAS MACHINED FOR PERFORMANCE THE FIRST OWNER TOLD ME. AND NOT THE STANDARD 403. THIS IS THE STORY BEHIND THIS CAR, I GOT IT FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER BECAUSE HE WAS MOVING AND COULD NOT TAKE THE CAR. THE CAR WOULD MAKE A GREAT RESTO PROJECT. BEING THE CAR HAS BEEN SITTING SINCE 1994, THE FRONT OF THE DRIVERS SIDE FRAME RAILS ARE ROTTING OUT, LUCKILY THIS RAIL CAN BE REPLACED, OTHER ISSUES ARE THE FRONT OF THE FRONT FLOORS NEED TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE TRUNK FLOOR. THE ROCKERS LOOK GOOD, THE INSIDE OF THE DOORS COULD USE A SOME ATTENTION OTHER THAN THAT THE CAR HAS ALL THE USUALLY DINGS AND DENTS THAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE ON A UN-RESTORED CAR FROM THE 70S. I WOULD LOVE TO SELL THE CAR AS A WHOLE BUT IF I GET ENOUGH INTREST I WOULD BE WILLING TO PART IT OUT. THE RESERVE PRICE IS FOR THE CAR WITHOUT THE ENGINE AND TRANNY, THE BUY NOW PRICE IS FOR THE CAR WITH THE ENGINE AND TRANNY. ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE TO SEE THE CAR. ANYWAY THE POSTED BUY IT NOW PRICE IS $4200 WHICH INCLUDES THE NUMBERS MATCHING WORKED BIG BLOCK 400 AND ORIGINAL 4SPD TRANNY. THE RESERVE PRICE HAS BEEN MET FOR THE TRANS AM WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ENGINE AND TRANNY. HERE ARE SOME ANSWERS OF QUESTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN ASKED ABOUT THE TRANS AM. THE CAR DOES RUN AND DRIVE. IT DID COME EQUIPPED WITH FACTORY A/C THE CAR DOES HAVE THE SHAKER SCOOP NOT SHOWN IN PICS. THE LIGHTS, STEREO,FLASHER,DASH,GUAGES ALL WORK.. EVEN THE CLOCK WORKS THE CAR WAS LAST DRIVEN IN 94, THE REASON IT SAT WAS BECAUSE THE OWNER GOT MARRIED, HAD KIDS MOVED AWAY AND THE CAR SAT IN HIS MOTHERS HOUSE UNTIL THIS YEAR. THE TITLE WAS MISSED PLACED A NEW TITLE WILL HAVE TO BE ORDERED. THE CAR DOES HAVE ALL THE ORIGINAL GM SPOILERS AND FLARES THE TAIL LIGHT ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE AND THEY ARE TRANS AM TINTED STYLE.
