Reserve far below low retail. This Karmann Ghia is for sale due to changes in personal interests. I have too many vehicles and unfortunately some of them must go.Up for auction with a reserve below market value is a classic collectible 1972 Karmann Ghia with the following list of brand new parts which were installed November 2011.-New premium carpet kit $190-New transaxle coupler and clutch disc $150-New Cal look weatherstripping $120-New chrome steering wheel $120New chrome Scat dragfast shifter $100-New headliner $75-New black interior door panels $80-New black interior rear side panels $65-New- seat covers $30-Front seats are in good condition overall, only the drivers seat has a couple of very minor cuts.-New Bosch Starter with warranty paperwork $60-New Bosch coil with warranty paperwork $25-New fuel filter, fuel lines and vaccum advance line.- New tune up kit with wires, points, cap and rotor $40-Rebuilt dual port 1600cc engine with AS-41 case all new internal parts. Engine comes with a transferable warranty for 5 months 5,000 miles whichever comes first and one free oil change and valve adjustment to all local buyers in Orange County, CA. Warranty will be through V.W. specialist engine rebuilder in Garden Grove, CA and not through seller. About 200 hours of free labor and $2,400 in new parts were put into this vehicle in November 2011.Condition: GoodThis Karmann Ghia is in good condition and can be driven everyday.Gas mileage should be between 27 and 34 miles per gallon. I drove this car 4 miles after the new engine and clutch were installed this month.This Karmann Ghia runs great and starts right up!Solex 3-4 Pict carburetor cleaned and tuned.Speedometer works as it should.Locks have been lubricated and work great with all keys.Most electrical has been rewired and is over 80 percent new or replaced.All windows are clean and clear! Brakes and parking brake work fine!Suspension is in good condition as well!Body is straight and clean!Drivers window needs adjustment or repair to properly roll up and down although it does work.Wheels, wheel caps, bumpers, trim and emblems are in good condition for year. Floorpans are good and only have minor rust. Original paint color was Bahia red and currently the paint is a close match to the original color.
