Vehicle Detail
2002 Focus SVT 114k miles with Salvage Title (Type B Repairable), but drives as normal. Car is 100% stock and OEM except for stainless steel cat-back exhaust, and wheels. It was rear ended and has hatch/bumper damage (needs replacements), as well as a dent on left side behind drivers door. I drove it home from the body shop and it felt completely normal. It has ~5 miles on new OEM rotors and Hawk pads all around, front control arms with bushings and ball joints, and a rear wheel bearing. New springs and dampers ~2 years ago. The interior is a 9/10, only minimal normal wear. The car is totally functional and can be driven away. I will also include a set of Steeda springs used for one season, and test pipe. For an additional $400, I also have a set of OEM SVT wheels in very good consition with brand new Continental ExtremeContact DWS 215/45-17 tires. The rear hatch does have denting. It was hit by a pickup, so the impact was at the top of the rear bumper and the license plate area of the hatch. There is also a shallow dent behind the drivers door, not sure if you can see that in the pictures in the ad. The history of the car as far as recent repairs is detailed pretty well in the ad. I have a folder from the previous owner with all the maintenance records, which includes a timing belt change at around 65k miles. I had Steeda spings on the car for about 6 months before I decided it was too low and went back to new OEM SVT springs and dampers. The interior is in great shape, and I have the owners manual in the original SVT jacket. The in-dash CD changer does not work, and I have an amplified auxiliary input located in the glove box that is wired to the stereo. It's great for an ipod. The sunroof and central locking/alarm work well. The original owner was a friend of my father, the second owner was a stranger (the guy I have all the records from), and then my dad owned it before I bought it from him. It has been mostly used for highway commuting, which that 6th gear is awesome for. The hatch will not close and latch, but moves up amd down freely. I drove the car about 3 miles home from the body shop after the accident and it seemed fine. With no hands on the wheel it tracked straight, and did not pull to the side under acceleration or braking. Also, the airbags have never deployed.
