Up for auction is a 1970 AMC REBEL-THE MACHINE. The car is being listed as more of a parts car, it does not have a title (WILL COME WITH A BILL OF SALE) and has extensive rust and damage to it, although people have restored worse cars. I have limited knowledge on the car, I think its a 304 engine in it, not the original 390, the hood scoop is missing and it sat for many years, so I would think the engine internals are no good. The car's front frame area looks salvageable, and the hood is decent, but does have a small dent in it. The car has two types of wheels on it. It has damage to the dash and some parts missing throughout, it does have the jack in the trunk. I may sell parts off if the whole car doesn't sell. The car is AS-IS where IS, local delivery possible for a fee, contact seller. Otherwise pickup only. Car is located near Reading, PA. The car is rough, but also still has many hard to find parts for these cars. Addressing some of the questions from potential bidders: the upper tag on the driver's door reads February 1970 with VIN # AOC190Y199259 and the lower tag reads Body 049483, Model 7019, Trim 051F, Paint 25A, and the following number appears below that W049769. On the engine, the passenger side valve cover tag reads 401H28. I also checked the exhaust manifolds and it looks like 2 1/4 inch exhaust outlets. Added note, learning more every day, there is a tag on the dr. side dash top, the tag number matches the vin number on the door, will try to add a picture of it, Thanks Thanks for looking.
