It would take you years (if ever) to find another this nice and priced so reasonably...Think of how very few XK sedans you see that have had as little usage as this example has and consider the small number of XJ12s produced..A moderate to high mileage XJ12 is a potential headache!...This mileage is normally appropriate for 2 to3 year old model car..... Offered here is an outstanding example of the classic JAGUAR XK12 series II sedan..one of only a very few built in 1976.. The '76 XJ12L has the large improved 5.4 ltr .FUEL INJECTION engine which was the better performing and MORE reliable than previous SU equipped XJ12s. As subsequent XJ sedans appeared through the '80's they became more and more like Detroit products with more plastic and less traditional British detailing to be found.... making the '76 and '77 models particularly, more desirable! It is in truly amazing condition, and looks so nice it looks it could be a 3 years old car!..This is a legitimate low mileage and RUST FREE car with only 26,030 miles since new!...There are numerous placques and other 1st place awards from major JAGUAR clubs mostly in the Washington DC area going back to 1978(some shown in pictures)..Its my opinion that the original owner primarily owned this car to show at various Jag club functions for a number of years... This vehicle has always been non smoker owned and its beautiful interior still retains the original Jaguar leather smell to this day..Original Dunlap tires in good condition. ..Beautiful chrome especially the deep set rims.. arguably the best looking Jaguar wheels ever!..perfect glass.. stain free carpeting,headlining,door panels , and perfect ORIGINAL dash wood finish.. all of these attributes are very seldom found on even newer Jags at this point in time!!.. The radio was replaced with quality Japanese radio(w/ cassette)..The car had been very well maintained by the original owner and comes ( at CONSIDERABLE cost!) with the following Jag items:... I believe a complete set of XJ12 factory service manuals,2 complete sets of original Jaguar keys,custom NARDI WHEEL (and the original), Lucas speed lights,Jag hemp mats,new battery, and a complete new set of front and rear brake pads,and calipers that will need to be (must be) installed before the car can be driven. The brake pedal is not currently affective..The emergency brake should be adequate for loading on a flatbed...There are a couple of scratches on the paint:... a scratch on front rt. fender (shown) …and very small ones on trunk lid edge ..The paint shows very well as the pictures indicate... Not mint..but a remarkably well kept 35 year old car. I've owned this Jaguar for about 2 years and have never registered it ,I have only driven it around the block a couple of times back when I got it...However ,it ALWAYS starts up instantly (winter or summer)and it idles smoothly at 800rpm with no engine noises, good oil pressure & no exhaust smoke. Both gas tanks operate,but the gas gauge is cranky(?)..The exhaust system is quiet as it should be.. Jaguar XJ series II cars ..ESPECIALLY the scarce 12 cylinder models are very hard.. if not impossible to find in this extraordinary condition and particularly with such very low mileage! Ive paid attention to these on ebay for a long time . This car with it's exceptionally low mileage and fine original state is a rare opportunity for collector or investment ( few pristine examples still exist of this low production future classic)! I no longer have garage space for it and want to sell it now (with great regret), before the winter sets in. The car is being sold as is where is ..no warranty offered or implied,. I've described it as accurately as I can to the best of my ability and for obvious reasons cannot be aware of the condition of every component!
