Mercedes made only a handful and you can look it up. This car is not for Joe the average driver. It is rare and soon to be in a unique category that very few cars achieve. This car is a statement of stature. period. If you are looking for something very rare and solid collectible this is for you. Sure you can drive it every day, but why do that to this beauty. The power and feel is beyond words. The W140 S600 was available with a leather dashboard and a suede(real leather) headliner, unlike the V8 and inline 6-cylinder models. In 1995 the S600 also came with a wood/leather steering wheel, wood/leather gear shifter, wood rear ashtray covers, and two tone leather seating – further distinctions from its lower rung siblings.Like its predecessor, the car was available in two wheelbase lengths along with the shorter-wheel based W140 coupé. In 1992, a new 6 liter 408 horsepower V12 engine joined the lineup for the first time with the 600SE, 600SEL and 600SEC. A "V12" badge was affixed to the C-pillar. In 1995, grille was redesigned on all models, including a new and distinctive one for S600's.The power rating was lowered to 389 to accommodate environmental requirements. This car will need at least 2 new tires for the chrome 18" rims. Needs wheels balanced after replacement of tires. A/C works great. Transmission shifts nice with no slippage and works as it should, engine runs perfect, smooth and no smoke. It rides smooth and solid. everything works except the power antenna is stuck in up position. Radio works though. This car was a corporate use for a Buuick dealership in Michigan and was driven by a female with all services done on timely basis. I drove it from NY to Fl. cruising 70-80mph with extreme ease. I must admit at times I found myself going a bit faster and had to keep an eye on the speedo not to get pulled over. It was a joy and very nice experience. Check the history it is clean.Remember this car is not new it has normal wear and tear but I would say for it's age it is above average. Just in parts alone it is worth about $15-20k Sorry I must sell it due to financial difficulties. It has so many extras I could not list them all. It would take too long and take up too much space.
