I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid with a BLOWN ENGINE for sale. It happened a month ago on my way to work. I believe the Timing Chain broke. It started making a bad ticking and clicking noise and about 15 miles later the engine shut off. Its not leaking oil that I know of and the engine is still holding all the synthetic I had in it. The engine tries to turn over when you go to start it but will not start. I am not for sure as i said that it is the Timing Chain, but was told by someone who works on cars that is what they thought. It has been a good car as i have owned it for 4 years. It has 4 tires on it that have less than 7000 miles on them ( $340). It has new ball joints and tie rods that were replaced in Februaury 2011 ($450). Also, new Starter and Belts Replaced in May 2011 ($330). I have receipts to back up all these items that i am stating are newer on the car. I set the price at $1100 since that is basically what i have spent on it within the last 8 months. The transmission shifts fine on the car. All power windows work, crusie control, cd player. Power locks all work except one that you have to manually push up and down. Heater works great in the car, but the A/C needs recharged. Would make someone a good car if they have an engine for it, and/or time and money to get one to put in it. The engine is the 2.7 Litre.
