Vehicle Detail

Vehicle Description: 1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427/390 HP Big Block 4spd: I am selling this Storage Barn Find Project Corvette for NO RESERVE. **NOTE** ALL BIDDERS MUST HAVE POSITVE FEEDBACK AND BE FROM USA OR YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME FIRST BEFORE BIDDING. THANK YOU. CAR WILL SELL TO HIGH BIDDER SO I WANT ONLY SERIOUS BIDDERS INVOLVED WHO WANT TO OWN THE CAR and intend to pay for it. HIGH BIDDER TAKES IT. Or make me a SOLID offer today! I reserve the right to end early if an acceptable offer is made so do not delay. OK now for the car description... This car has not been registered for roughly 25 yrs. It is recently out of Dry Storage and ready for a new owner to finish restoration project. GREAT WINTER PROJECT. I am not an expert by any means but will do my best to describe this car and I will be happy to answer any questions. Just email them. I also encourage the prospective buyers to view the car first if possible? Or have someone look at it for you. This car has undergone a good amount of FRAME OFF restoration but is still a restoration project car. Project was started 20 yrs ago and owner fully restored frame and started gathering parts to re-assemble/ restore entire car. The project was put on hold do to simply life being too busy. Now it is time for someone to complete. Nothing was wrong with car prior to restoration being started other than owner wanted it to be perfect. ***MANY NOS GM parts new still in the box ordered from dealerships in 1986. (SEE PHOTOS) All weather stripping, new locks, trim pieces, 427 numbered emblems etc. (SEE PHOTOS) ***MANY Parts and bolts/fasteners have been Cadmium Plated (SEE PHOTOS) ***ALL BUMPERS have been Re-Chromed and are still wrapped in newspaper from chrome shop. (SEE PHOTOS) FRAME : This car was taken frame off. Entire Frame of the car was blasted and repainted. All brake lines suspension/bushing springs etc. have been replaced. Frame is original numbers matching to the car and matching engine with NO RUST or previous accidents. All the restoration work is done on it. Bilstein Shocks front/rear and bushings all done. Again Frame needs nothing. 100% complete and restored! NOTE: ENTIRE CAR IS A MATCHING NUMBERS ORIGINAL CAR INCLUDING ENGINE, FRAME, TRANS, ETC. (SEE PHOTOS) INTERIOR : As you can see from the photos, entire interior was removed as part of the restoration. All parts for this car a boxed and included in the auction.(SEE PHOTOS) Seats will need new covers and carpet replaced. Car is original International Blue Exterior and Bright blue Interior. Prior owner had changed seats/ door panels to black. I recommend converting to original color blue since they need replaced anyway. I believe door panels are from 75 vette w/ deluxe interior. Will need correct ones. EXTERIOR : This car has NO RUST on pillars or anywhere. As mentioned above, FRAME has been completely restored and is ready to go. As for the body, it was painted this past summer. Has NOT BEEN wet sanded OR polished. Will need this to be Finished. Bumpers have been fully re-chromed and are still wrapped up from chrome shop. AGAIN...Many NOS parts will go with the car along with ALL Original Parts to complete it. I have a NOTEBOOK full of documentation, which will also go with car. Also have PARTIAL TANK STICKER (SEE PHOTOS) Current upgrades/replaced parts: -I am told the engine was rebuilt when removed. Has not been run since. -Complete frame restoration -Complete new suspension, shocks bushings etc. -New paint 4 months ago in original color. Needs wet sanded and polished/finished -New Radiator NOTE: -Car has been sitting in DRY storage since this work for roughly 20+ years other than recent paint. This is a GREAT car for a restorer who knows how to assemble a 1968 BIG BLOCK Corvette. Most all the hard work has been completed. BUYER WILL BE FURNISHED WITH LONG TIME OWNERS CONTACT INFORMATION. HE WILL BE HAPPY TO DISCUSS THE CAR IN EVERY WAY. Car is being sold “As Is” with no warranty expressed or applied. And No Reserve. Check my feedback... I am not a dealer although I have sold a few cars in the past and everyone is always very satisfied as I do my best to accurately describe the car in detail and sell it no reserve. Thanks again and GOOD LUCK PLEASE ONLY BID on car if you have POSITIVE FEEDBACK and are from USA. Otherwise you need to email me first or the bids will be canceled. NOTE: KEEP in mind this car is being sold "as is". Do not assume anything and please feel free to ask questions you have about the car or come see it prior to auction end. I have listed all I know about it and have tried to be VERY detailed. Bid accordingly and to win. Car has CLEAR OHIO Title in Hand. On Nov-22-11 at 17:21:37 PST, seller added the following information: To answer some of the paint questions... Car was painted this past summer in its original color but is not finished. My opinion is the paint looks dry in some spots. Might need touching up or just wet sanded and polished. I do not know?? Depends on the new owners level of finished product they are looking for?? There is clear coat on it but I am not sure how many coats? Thanks and hope this helps. ALSO, I will not sell outside auction as we are near the end. HIGH BIDDER TAKES IT!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!
