Brakes, rotors and 2 tires were replaced in Anahiem, Ca. back in March of 2010 at 139k miles. There is 149k now! Only 10,000 miles have been put on this car in 20 months, and over 2800 of those were put on when I drove it home to SC. It has been pampered for the last 40,000 miles since I bought it. I have the Bill of Sale still from when I bought it with the mileage on it, if interested. Carpet is in great shape, however the mats are done. I wanted to use them as long as possible, however, I do have a spare set. The top is ready to be replaced, I just had not done it yet. I believe the top is the original that came on the car. The back 3 windows have been clouded since I purchased it. I checked on replacement tops....about $375-$425 here on ebay. The overhead liner on the inside of the top is in great shape. When driving in the rain there is a slow drip right above drivers side at the top of the windshield to the left of the visor near the drivers window. The tear in the passenger seat that you see is not a tear in the fabric....it is where the stitching between two pieces of leather has started coming loose...EASY REPAIR! The stereo, 6 disc cd changer and sound works great. The digital screen on the stereo unit is clouded. I know my presets and changer controls by heart, so no biggie for me. It would take you no time to learn yours as well if you choose to keep same system. The stereo is all factory (premium system). The paint on rest of the car is in great shape. I was gonna have the front end and hood repainted some time ago due to chips in the paint from pebbles or road dirt,...but that is all the paint issues. Now that the front end will have to be redone, thanks to Mr. Deer, this is not an added repair anymore. There will be no problems blending or matching the paint beautifully. All the top hydraulics are functional and very smooth when operating, however the wind bar control unit is out. It is the motor that raises or lowers that bar before the top will go up or down. It went out some time back. Prior to it going out, the top goes up and down perfectly! Very smooth! A/C works and is very cold! VERY GOOD CAR! I purchased this vehicle on Ebay on July 4th, 2008 when I was living in Napa, California. It has been a great car for me and I was literally sick to my stomach when I hit a deer with it last week. I had it covered with liability only and really believe in comprehensive insurance now! Anyway, I have decided not to repair the car since my intention was to sell it back in the summer. The reason that I was gonna sell it then was because I am: no longer single (married w/ children now), needing a newer truck as well as a vehicle for more than just 2 people! 3 THINGS!This car will be GREAT for anyone: 1) who has ever wanted a Benz convertible. At the price I'm asking, there is a tremendous deal to be had for someone. This car has a very well maintained, strong and responsive V8 (very fast) as well as an extremely smooth transmission. The cosmetic damage can be repaired inexpensively,...especially if you own or know someone who owns a body shop. Or maybe you can do the work yourself... I personally don't have the time nor the know-how to do this. 2) who already owns a car like this that could use it for the parts. Once again,.... the engine itself is worth a lot of money! I know the engine is in great shape still, because I drove the vehicle for 15 miles to the house after the deer fiasco and it drove as if nothing happened. The transmission, body panels, cd changer, seats (both power), etc... are all worth a lot.... it is a Mercedes-Benz! If you are gonna part this car out,...please don't tell me that! It would literally break my heart! 3) A private dealer/ body shop owner... Repair it, sell it and make $$$! I'd love to see the photos when someone repairs it! ============================================================= The photos will show you that the hood, front light assembly and passenger side mirror will definitely need replacing. The front passenger quarter panel did not suffer, however the deer did flip and hit the passenger door somehow and place a dent in it that can be removed. There was a very slow drip of water after the accident, so maybe a radiator? I never lifted the hood cause I wasn't sure that I would be able to close it back. I am sure that there is none to very, very little structural damage to this car. Where and how the impact occurred, the hood took the most impact and therefore sent the animal straight up in the air.
