Vehicle Detail

Great basic truck; Clean, reliable mechanicals VEHICLE DESCRIOTIONYou are bidding on a 1995 Ford F150 XL with the 6.5' bed and the right factory options to make it an inexpensive weekend warrior. The truck is clean, body is rust free, and cosmetically in very solid condition showing little wear and tear for its age. It has the 300 cid straight 6 with 5 sp manual transmission; it runs and drives well with no mechanical problems. The odometer has 167,232 miles. I have averaged about 17.55 mpg over the life of the truck (it has gotten over 20 mpg several times). The current VA State inspection is good through May 2012. I bought the truck in March 2003 with 134,532 miles on the odometer. I love this truck but I needed a longer wheelbase truck with bigger engine/auto transmission to safely pull our 24’ sailboat. This truck is in very good condition; you could drive it cross-country. VEHICLE CONDITIONThe interior is in very good condition showing little wear on the seat (there is a small cigarette burn on the driver seat from PO). The dash is in very good condition, I replaced all badly cracked pieces/vents (there is a small 3” hairline crack in the top dash, but not really noticeable). Door panels are in great shape showing some fade but no cracks. The floor is vinyl and in good shape; I have a set of black FORD rubber floor mats in the Delta box. I added an XLT tilt steering wheel column, it is fully functional. The radio is an aftermarket (sorry, the CD player is jammed, but cassette and radio work). The AC does not currently work, but it worked earlier in the year (worked from 2003-early 2011). I put the AC system on a vacuum and it held. I put a can of AC dye in the system yesterday with a half can of R-134a. The pressure is still holding good. If my reserve is met, I will take the truck to the Goodyear dealer and have the system recharged. There is an aftermarket cruise control on the truck; all the components are there but it is not functional. The owner’s manual is in the glove box.The truck has never been in an accident. The exterior body of the truck is good; the paint is in good condition. There are no rust spots on the body but there is surface rust on the frame rails. The bed is solid and has a plastic liner (in good condition, no holes or cracks). There was a small dent (about size of a quarter) on the passenger bedside. There is a small ~2” crack in the windshield on the passenger side. It was there when I bought the truck and has not spread (it has 2 slight drill marks at each end of the crack preventing it from spreading); it has passed safety inspection every year I owned the truck. The stainless steel Delta box comes with the truck (there is a tray in it; there are 2 keys for the locks). There is a 2” class III tow hitch on the front and rear of the truck. I used the truck at the lake house on mostly short drives to put my boats in/out of the lake (heaviest boat was the sail boat at 2,850lbs), the front hitch was to maneuver the boats in tight spaces. It has factory dual gas tanks. The matching Michelin LT tires are in very good condition; the spare [different brand] tire looks new, I just had Costco rebalance and rotate the tires. I have 3 keys (each key works all factory locks) for the truck + 2 for the Delta box.Mechanically the drive train (motor, transmission, and rear end) are in very good condition. The motor burns no oil. The transmission is a 5 speed manual transmission. In addition, the truck has:New clutch in 2010 (Midas)New muffler with dual exhaust pipes in 2008 (chrome tips never mounted, in the Delta box)Fiber free flow air filter in 2008 (factor air filter box in Delta box)Replaced front upper/lower ball joints and inner/outer bearings in 2005Both fuel pumps replaced in 2005Brakes: New pads in 2005 TERMS OF SALE1. This is a 17-yr. old truck, so it's not perfect. I have made tried to be open and honest on the description. If you have any questions, please ASK THEM before you bid. After the auction ends, the sale is final.2. Please, only bid on this car if you are serious about owning it and have the necessary funds readily available. Failure to remit your deposit within the time allowed would result in your loss of the vehicle and negative feedback, and it will either be re-listed or sold to the next qualified buyer.3. The winning bidder is the new owner of the vehicle and, just like the seller, contractually bound to complete the transaction.4. No bid retractions without seller's prior approval.5. We reserve the right to notify bidders and cancel this auction at any time if the truck sells locally6. We reserve the right to cancel bids from those with excessive negative feedback unless you contact me before bidding..7. Payment: I will require a non-refundable $500 deposit within 24 hours of end of auction (PayPal) and the balance is to be paid by cash or cashier's check when picked up no later than 14 days of end of auction. Wire transfers are acceptable. Upon full payment, the truck can be picked up. I have clear title.8. Shipment: The truck must be picked up, all shipping and driving arrangements are to be made by the buyer. Seller is not responsible for shipping. This is a great truck! Happy Bidding and good luck!! On Nov-19-11 at 08:19:30 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE (see text below, 19 Nov 2011) I went to get tags on my replacement truck and took this [95] truck to the DMV. I ran the 95 truck on the rear tank and found it is slowly pumping fuel to the front tank. It runs on the rear, but you can see from the fuel gauge is going down and the front is going up. I ran the truck on the front tank so I don't normally use the rear tank. It was a good thing I checked. I thought I had corrected this when I replaced the fuel pumps. I had recently pulled the rear tank and found the vent line disconnected - I thought that was the source of the problem. It appears I was wrong. The truck is completely drivable on the front tank, no issues. If you run on the rear tank, you will have to make sure the front is near empty or it will overflow out the vent cap (I believe). When the rear is down and the front was up, you can switch back to the front. I did this for a while before switching fuel pumps.I will still keep the auction going and lower the reserve. It still is a good truck. I had terminated all bids to date, so anyone bidding now will do so knowing it has a rear fuel tank issue. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will still have the AC recharged if the auction gets to the new lower reserve. UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE (see text above)
