I started a sheet metal fabrication company in 1984 so I thought it would be good to have a 1984 El Camino signed with the company name and use it as a run about town truck. I purchased this truck for $9000 last May after a long search. I am no longer involved in the day to day operation of the company and it seems the others do not want to take the time to finish the project. I purchased the vehicle from the original owners who had a fleet of over 100 vehicles in Los Angeles. This was the owners' personal vehichle and prior to him selling the company he had a new motor and transmission installed. The car was repainted and according to him pretty well totally rebuilt. The car has 48,000 miles since that was done. All the paperwork stayed the with company since they had paid for everything so I cannot provide any documentation for this. The gentleman was 85 years old though and seemed to be honest. I am 72 and really just don't want to take the time to do the things needed to make the car 100% (power windows work but one chatters and the other one is slow; interior driver's door needs some attention, the dash has cracks on the top; since I had the car detailed the check engine light comes on intermittently and there are a few minor nicks on the paint. The car looks and runs very good. The car is for sale locally so may be removed prior to end of the auction.
