Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1970 Dodge Coronet 440 Super Bee clone. The engine is a 1966 440 .30 over, complete balanced crank and rod assembly, ported 904 heads, 510 lift hydraulic cam, Weiand high rise manifold, Holley 850 double pumper carb, under drive pulleys, electric fan, electric fuel pump and much more. Rebuilt 727 trans full manual shift valve body, Hurst shifter, 3800 RPM stall converter. Rebuilt 8 3/4 rear axle, new bearings. Rebuilt posi with 3:73 gears. All the suspension was replaced, ball joints, tie rod ends, every bushing was replaced. New disc brakes and shocks....everything on this car has been either rebuilt or replaced. The body is a solid car from Virginia. A couple of small patch repair panels were needed in the lower rear quarters, and that was it. Rust free doors, fenders and trunk; perfect frame rails. When I first got it, the trunk floor and driver and passenger floor had just started to show rust. Sections were removed and replaced for the installation of the roll cage and fuel cell. The body was repainted in original red lacquer paint. It has new moldings and a new vinyl top. (Please note that in some photos, the car looks orange, this is not the case. It is red lacquer; the conditions of both sunny weather and my camera equipment have overexposed the color in some photos. Sorry for any confusion this may cause.) New interior 2 years ago, seats and door panels. Also new rims 2 years ago as well. This car is fun to drive, and a real head-turner. It has had less than 8000 miles put on it in the last 17 years, and less than 5000 of those put on the rebuilt drive train. I have barely driven it in the last 5 years, usually only about 2 or 3 times in the summer. Since my taste in cars has evolved over the years, I am selling this car that I have owned since high school. What I think this car needs: a little TLC. There is a little oil seepage (not a full-blown leak) on the pan gasket of the engine and transmission. I keep a section of cardboard under the car when stored in the garage, basically to protect the garage floor...not a huge issue. Since I have barely driven the car recently, it could use a tune-up. I have thousands of dollars more invested in this vehicle than my asking price. Please feel free to contact me via email with any specific questions you may have about this car.
