Vehicle Detail
Awesome 1972 Chevy C-10 1/2Ton, Long Bed, 2wd, Original Arizona Truck I purchased the truck about 11yrs ago in Arizona; it had some new parts to include the gauges and odometer. So, the 54,500 miles is from about 11yrs ago. 6yrs ago I started working on it and here is what I did: - Has a 454 CID Engine from a 1997 Suburban 4 Bolt Main that was rebuilt and board 0.030. at a machine shop. - Has a Holley 870 cfm Street Avenger Carb - Put on a Performer RPM Air Gap Intake - Put on a new Serpentine System - Put on a new Complete MSD Ignition - Put on a Hughes Turbo 400 "Street Strip" Transmission in. - Rebuilt the differential with 3:73 gears, all new bearings, races, and seals. - Put on Full length ceramic coated Hooker Headers with 2 chamber flow master and 2 1/2 inch pipes put on. - Put new bushings, ball joints, bearings, brakes, rotors, and rebuilt the calipers. - Front end parts are Silver Vein Powder coated. - Put in all new steering components and gear box. - The radio is original and in the dash not cut out and 2 stereo amps are under seat. - Made a fold down license plate and installed a hidden trailer hitch behind it. - Took out the air conditioning system. Does have heater. The engine and all the above mentioned items have approximately 13,000 miles on them. Joined the service not long after and left the truck in Arizona with my parents. For the last 4 or 5 years the truck was started and driven around the block to keep up the charge and keep the gaskets from drying out. I had it in Colorado Springs for a year where I was stationed and brought it back to Arizona for my Dad to sell. This is a diamond in the rough. Runs like a champ. Neighbors don’t like it because it’s a little loud. The engine and components are done now it’s an easy restore job for the collector. Everything else is in great shape just needs some love and attention. Contact Pete at: 480-292-6699 to set an appointment if you’re in Arizona.
