You are bidding on a very nice 1965 Mustang Pony Car Project. The body and unibody have all been restored. The unibody was not to bad was an easy fix but many of the body parts had to be replaced. New quarter panels, rocker panels, fenders, floor pans (welded inside and out!) trunk pan. Rest was pretty solid. All of the bodywork has been done. It has been blocked out once and needs one more hand block with 220 grit and sealed for paint. The shop who did the work has been in business for 30 years and did a fantastic job on it. The only body related thing left to do is to match the fenders to the front edge of the doors and its ready. The car has a 302 V8 in it with an automatic trans. Obviously the motor is not original since they only had 283 back then I think but I'm not a Ford guy it may very well be a 283. Just consider for the sake of the purchase that it is not. The tragedy of this project is that I cannot complete it. Ran out of funds and am trying to start a family so it's going. I also do not have much of the interior and am missing the front and back glass, headlights, door regulators and handles, a few outside trim pieces tail lamp lenses, gas cap, truck lock cylinder, The cromes for the bumpers...I have all the brackets. the rest is there. it runs and drives but the master cylinder leaks a bit so that will need some attention. All of these items are available aftermarket and they are cheap. This car would make a great Father and Son Project. For any further info. please give me a call.
