Vehicle Detail
Up for sale here is a 1985 Porsche 944. This model is commonly referred to as a 1985.5, 1985 1/2 or even 1986 year model because Porsche changed the body style in the middle of 1985. This car is the updated model from second half of 1985. Overall the condition of the car is pretty good for its age. There is no visible rust that I can see anywhere. The clearcoat on the wheels has mostly lost its shine like many older cars. I have put a lot of money into this car in the past year. I replaced the following within the last 9 months: starter, all belts/seals ( 2 engine timing belt tensioner rollers, engine timing belt roller, engine reseal kit, power steering pump belt, engine timing belt, engine balance shaft belt), spark plug cables, spark plugs, distributor cap, distributor rotor, front/rear brake pads, front/rear brake pad sensors, new battery, fluids change, CD player and new shift knob/boot. The car has power windows, a power sunroof and more. The rear bumper sticker says that it is a turbo model, but it isn't. The car will need 2-3 new tires before I would drive it too far. For the year, I would rate the exterior a 8.5/10. I would rate the interior at a 7/10. The interior could use a good detail, re-tinting the windows and it needs front speakers. The car has aftermarket front bucket seats and steering wheel. I have been putting more money into the mechanical performance of the car than the interior. Now that I have finished with the mechanical part, I've realized that I never have time to drive the car, so I might as well sell it before I put too much more money into it. Upon the sale and full payment of the vehicle, a bill of sale will be provided. This car will not come with a title as I was not issued one when I purchased the car (In Maine, a title is not required or supplied for vehicles older than 1995). Shipping or pickup will be the responsibility of the buyer, but I would be happy to help with the logistics on this end as much as I am able. It is a fun little car to drive and I wish I had more time to devote to it, but I have two other vehicles and I never seem to find the time. I know you've all heard it a million times, but it's true in this case...My loss is your gain!
