Extremely Rare Car. Everything working. Car collector. All original. GORGEOUS! Limited colour production available in two years only - less than 2% in 1985 total custom dealer order - metallic paint code "Nautikbau 929". Here is the most collectable and coveted final year of production (10,900 total worldwide) in a unique delicious colour, original factory paint. ALL original and everything in complete and fully operational condition. My guesstimate is that only about 200 were made... correct me if I am wrong. You would be hard pressed to find another one of these in this colour in this year. I have been collecting these cars for over five years and this is the only one I have ever seen. You are bidding on a personal favourite car from my collection sale... I just got married. Go figure - LOL!!! I purchased this car from the original owners, an elderly couple who simply could not drive safely anymore, who ordered the car from the dealership in this colour with hand painted pinstriping and purchased it new in 1985. The VIN is correct and the car has no AutoCheck/Experian record because it has never changed hands, never been in an accident, never been stolen, never had a smog check (it's a diesel) and the owners never moved house! It was like stepping back in time, the stories about the couple when they were young going on dates, adventures in the car etc. Fascinating stuff. A fortunate find to say the least. Fun fun fun! The car was in perfect running condition, garaged and babied. In fact I was instructed to please take care of the car because it was their baby. I have done so up to this point and would sincerely appreciate a new owner who fully understands the value of this fine automobile. The future value is the most interesting part of this auction in my opinion... how much will this car be worth in ten years. I shudder to think. WHY am I selling her!!! Ok... so here is the description: Power: Brakes, steering, windows, door locks, gas tank lid, trunk lock, antenna & sunroof. Original stereo and speakers - awesome! AC is like new, Heat is too. Windows have a nice dark after market tint. Transmission is strong and shifts excellently. Engine is in outstanding performing condition, purrs. Turbo kicks in right on cue. Class act. Suspension and bushings are spot on, amazing over bumps. Wood in almost perfect condition. Dash has one crack, protected here by a dashcap/dash cover. No leaks or issues - mechanically sound. A SOLID MOTOR CAR! No modifications, kept in all original condition in car collector tradition, runs on diesel or biodiesel beautifully. This is a great automobile and to be honest I am sorry to see her go.
