Vehicle Detail
1972 ford F100. I bought and built this truck a few years ago. It had the white paint on it. I am a body man and can tell the driver side cab corner was repaired. But the passenger side is solid. And some work has been done on the lower fenders. The floors and cab mounts are original and solid, The bed is solid no rust but as you can see in the photos the paint is chipped in a few places and is only driver quality. The truck had a 302 with a 3 speed on the column. From what I can tell from when iI had it apart it was originally blue and at one time it had the RANGER chrome trim package on it but I cant confirm if its a ranger What I put into it when i got it. Truck --- Lowering I beam front suspension with lowering springs. All new steering components and bushings, Front disc brakes. Rear lowering springs and hangers, Rear drum brakes. Body removed from frame. Frame was blasted and painted and same body remounted Wheels, tires and brakes are new. Valid PA inspection Engine, 351 W, Bored and stroked to a 398. Main bearing gurdle, Full roller, 12:1 compression, Trick flow twisted port heads & Intake and a 950 QUICK FUEL carb, Comp Cam grind # XR286R, Valve Lift 292, Lobe Lift 0.389 Duration 292. Dynoed at the crank 602 hp. You can run pump gas in it without any problems but to move like a rocket you need racing fuel, MSD Digital 6 Plus ignition and rev limitor. Truck Runs cool at 190 degree. Even on a 95 degree day Transmission, C-6, 3,500 stall. Built by my local speed shop, With a new balanced drive shaft. Rear End, Ford 9". STRANGE case and full spool posi, RICHMOND 3:73 gear, MOSER 31 spline axles, ladder bars This truck has been to many long distance shows each year without break down or fail. It is a nice driver and sounds great. The throbing rumble of the engine lets everyone know who's the boss. And if you have to you can prove it. I have not taken the truck to the track. It doesnt have a cage yet, so I wont run it all out. But you difinatly wont get smoked by the local Mustangs or Tuners. It hooks up good and launches strait and really takes off, I am selling because I am building a 1950 International Rat Rig and I have four other street rods. Im not broke and I'm not interested in trading or giving it away. I will sell the truck without the engine.
