Vehicle Detail

"Wouldn’t You Really Rather Have a Buick?" 1955 Buick Roadmaster Two-Door Hardtop. This fine example was originally sold at "Longbeach Buick," in California. The car remained in California from 1955 until 1985. After spending 10 yrs in Oregon, it returned to California where it stayed until the summer of 2011. This is why the body, frame, and floors are solid. It appears that the car was restored over the next several years in Riverside, Ca. This Buick is equipped with the rare factory A/C. The original and rebuilt 322ci Nailhead "Fireball" with 236hp and Dyna-Flow transmission runs great. Other options include Power Windows, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Antenna, Power Seats, Driver's Seat Heater, and Sonomatic AM radio (All working). The original owner of this fine machine went all out when he bought this one! Complete engine restoration with documentation. The engine compartment is like "showroom." Beautifully restored interior features original Buick special order fabric. New windshield & side glass was installed. She rides on Coker "Gangster-white" radials. The fuel tank was dipped and relined. Virtually all new rubber, new shocks, and new springs. Original Owner's and A/C Manuals included, along with miscellaneous promotional memorabilia. There is a ton of service records and receipts that will be included. She wears her original colors of Blue and White with a hint of pearl. Exterior re-chrome is near perfect. I am not an expert on Buick's, but I am told that all numbers match. Over $50k was invested by the previous owner. This Buick has clocked around 16,000 miles since her restoration. There is a hidden Pioneer CD player in the glove compartment and the original A/M radio was disconnected. Lots of time was taken with details such as correct decals, and original keys. I installed a brand new battery today before driving the car. She runs, and drives great around town, and down the freeway at 70 MPH. As with any 57 yr. old car, there are imperfections, and my opinion may differ from yours. But, this is a very nice car with a lot of options. She is ready to be enjoyed right now. don't hesitate to bid. I will assist with delivery for a fee to some locations, or will help with loading with the shipper of your choice. Deposit of $1000 due within 48 Hrs. of auction end. balance due within 7 days. Car can be stored for a reasonable amount of time in my heated / cooled shop after payment is made.
