Vehicle Detail

My 1970 Barracuda has been in the family for 28 years and know it to be in good condition. I purchased it in Silvercreek, GA on 11-11-1983, from a private owner. It is an original 225 slant 6 with a slap stick automatic transmission, front disc/rear drum brakes and manual steering. The air conditioner compressor was removed years ago for some engine work and still have same. I had an in-frame overhaul done in 1986 and the top end was redone 3 years ago with a new single barrel carb. The motor runs smoothly but uses a little oil. I installed a new radiator with hoses, fuel pump, water pump and battery last year. New tires last year which may have 200 miles traveled. It has been covered in the carport and the only time it gets wet is when I wash it. I drive it only for pleasure. There is little rust that I am aware of as hopefully I took care of any over the years. I fiberglassed the trunk pan center many years ago. The interior is like new with reupholstered seats like original, carpet and headliner are fine and no cracks in the dash. Three rows of stitching have broken through in the center of the driver's seat bottom. I removed the vinyl top many rears ago and saved the trim rings. The bumpers need re-chroming as well as the front and rear guards which I added years ago. It was painted in current metalic blue 11-06-1987 and still looks great. The car has never been wrecked or dented and has had no electrical issues. There is a 6" wiper scratch in the lower center windshield when I bought the car. I never replaced the original radio as it was lost at a repair shop in GA. I have a working ralley dash cluster which I changed over to a big dial cluster on a wild hair. I have the original ralley cluster which came in the car. I have a spare windshield, spare bumper with mounts, and many other accumulated parts which will go with the car. The rear axle was replaced due to the original failing 20 years ago. Under the hood has never been painted. I have nearly all service records and can only say that the milage is still under 100K per these records. This is not a show car but would be a super fix for showing for someone with more time than me. The only reason for this sale is a downsizing prior to an intended move to the coast. Chrysler door sticker says 6-70. Open for further questions. On Oct-23-11 at 11:32:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Per request 10-22-2011: Underside inspected and found surface rust only above rear axle where I didn't get enough spray years ago. Pans sound and muffler still good. Needs new ehaust pipe but no holes. Shackles, leaf springs and rear frame pitted, need to sand blast area and paint only.
