This is the lowest price 2010 Versa S on Ebay by at least $2000. In fact, compare this car to some 2007 models with 60,000 or 70,000 miles advertised for $8,500 to $10,000 or more. Also, if you need to sell your current vehicle in order to buy this one, let me know the details about it and maybe I can give you more as a trade-in for it than you would get otherwise. This auction is for a 2010 Nissan Versa S sedan finished in Red Brick metallic paint and a Charcoal Gray interior. It’s powered by Nissan’s MR18DE engine, a 1.8 liter 16-valve DOHC engine that has received excellent reviews by engineers and the automotive press for its strong power output, great economy and inherent smoothness. It features an all aluminum alloy engine block and cylinder head for light weight and excellent heat dissipation, variable valve timing for maximum power output at all engine speeds, acoustically equal runner lengths plus a tumble control valve in the intake manifold with sequential multiport fuel injection (SMFI) for excellent gas mileage, distributorless coil on plug (COP) ignition for reliability in all environmental conditions, and drive by wire electronic throttle for precise control of drivability parameters. The 1.8 liter engine in this Versa S makes the car quicker and more fun to drive that the less powerful 1.6L engine found in some other Versas. If you are shopping around for a Versa and find one with the 1.6 engine, make sure you test drive it first to see if you can live with the smaller engine, as they feel a little slow and not very exciting to drive compared to a Versa with the 1.8L engine. The engine is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. This front wheel drive transaxle setup has a low first gear that provides brisk acceleration, (quicker than a Honda Fit from 0 to 60 mph) while the high overdrive top gear allows for effortless highway cruising and excellent fuel economy figures of over 40 mpg when driven with restraint. Rounding out the Versa S is a suspension made to smooth out your daily commute while still having fun on twisting roads. Start off with a light curb weight of 2,700 pounds and add a MacPherson strut independent front suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars and 15 inch tires (the base Versa has just 14 inch tires). Add rack and pinion Electric Power Steering (EPS) for precise road feel, and a stiffer chassis design than many other small vehicles, and you have a car that is quicker, faster and handles better than most others in it’s class. Not only is the Versa S fun to drive, it’s also economical to maintain. Most systems have low or reduced maintenance components. For example, instead of a timing belt that needs periodic replacement, the Versa uses a steel timing chain that lasts for the life of the engine. It uses platinum tipped spark plugs that only need to be changed every 105,000 miles, extended life coolant with a 60,000 mile service interval, transmission fluid that needs to be changed at 120,000 miles only if the car is used in severe service, and a fuel filter that only needs replacement if the pump is replaced. Also, the muffler and tailpipe are stainless steel and should last the life of the car. For 2010, the Nissan Versa includes a few enhancements over the previous model years. A new grille design and wheel covers on the outside, and a new instrument cluster and revised sound system on the inside helps to distinguish the Versa as one of the best cars in its class, both mechanically and stylistically. Its exterior style is quite attractive. As beautiful as the outside is, the inside is just as nice. Get in and sit down in a bucket seat that feels supportive yet comfortable for a 12 hour drive. Adjust the seat back to the perfect driving position with the recline lever. Then grab the wheel and adjust the tilt steering column to achieve complete driving control. Notice how the cruise control switches are just a fingertip away. Next, look ahead at the dashboard with the three pod instrument cluster trimmed with brushed aluminum rings and how easy the gauges are to read. Now glance at the center stack and how simple the radio and climate controls are to operate. Look right and left at the brushed titanium accents on the doors, dash, steering wheel and shifter and to the premium velour upholstery with a graphic pattern on the seating areas that have a textured finish for better air circulation. Finally, glance up at the headliner with it’s classic hounds tooth pattern. Not only is the styling beautiful to see, but all the textures have a rich feel and look and all the switchgear have a precise soft touch action. From the dimpling in the seat upholstery, the textured graining pattern on the dash and door panels, or the layout of the knobs and switches on the dash, everything looks and feels like it came from a more expensive car. It has a beautiful dent-free body with just the normal minor nicks, dings and hairline scratches you would expect on a car of this age and mileage. I checked the car top to bottom and found no evidence that it was ever wrecked, and in fact, it doesn’t even appear to have any paintwork. The 7/12/2011 entry on the history report stating, “Accident or vehicle damage reported: front center,” must be an error as it doesn’t show in the Carfax report I ran. The interior is in great condition as well. It has excellent upholstery, carpet, dashboard and door panels with no cracks, rips or tears or any significant signs of wear. The car doesn‘t look like it was smoked in, in fact, it’s not even equipped with a lighter. The trunk looks like it was hardly ever used and the engine compartment has been fully detailed and is clean enough to eat off of. Mechanically it runs and drives excellent. The engine runs strong and feels smooth both at idle, while accelerating and throughout the cruising range. The engine starts instantly whether hot or cold. The steering wheel is on dead center going down the road with no shakes or vibrations at speed, the brakes are firm with no pedal pulsations or pulling to one side when stopping and the suspension is tight. The A/C blows ice cold. It has the original set of premium Continental ContiProContact tires with very good tread on the fronts and fairly good tread on the rears. The spare tire doesn’t look to have ever been used. Overall this is a super sharp car that looks fantastic in this Brick Red color. Between the bright color and the metallic shade, the car just about glows in the sunlight. I get complements about that color in supermarket and mall parking lots almost every week. Remember, there are many Versas out there to choose from and you’ll probably be driving this car for a few years, so just ask yourself, would you rather leave for work every morning in a car that’s a hot, beautiful color, and that will elevate your mood, or just some other plain color you just “settled” for. If instead of selling it back at a dealer auction I can sell it here on Ebay for a similar price and avoid dealer auction fees and transportation expenses, and the new owner gets the car at a true wholesale price, then both buyer and seller make out ahead. Remember, you can get a great deal on Ebay with prices sometimes way below retail, but no bidder is going to “steal” a vehicle and no seller is going to give one away either. When comparing this car to the others listed, keep in mind that this car is a one owner vehicle, comes with a clean Carfax, has no paintwork, is fully loaded, runs great, has the best color and is super clean inside and out. Also, as well equipped as this S model Versa is, it has virtually the same options and features as the more expensive SL model. If you are looking for a nice Versa in excellent condition at a low price, then this car is hard to beat.
