Vehicle Detail
*1978 Chevrolet Suburban* 1 Owner 76,000 Actual Miles FACTORY 454 This is a true one owner 1978 Chevrolet Suburban Silverado 10. It was purchased brand new in 1978, off the show room floor, from Merit Chevrolet in Maplewood MN, for $9,371.45. To say the least, this car has been babied by the same owner since new. Always stored during the winter in a heated garage. Extremely well maintained and have all receipts since new. Aside from all receipts since new, documents include original window sticker, build sheet, owners manuals, and even the original Chevrolet Suburban brochure from 1978. The car has only 76,000 miles on it since new. It has been driven about a thousand miles per year over the past 10 years during the summer only and stored in the garage for the rest of year. The interior is perfect ,no rips, tears, or any wear. The 454 motor and transmission are solid,no fluids drip or leak. The motor runs perfect and the transmission shifts flawlessly. The car rides very smooth and the suspension and front end are in great shape, car tracks straight down the road and brakes operate perfect, no pulls when applied. Here is a link to a comparable 1978 Suburban that sold at Barret Jackson for $26,400: http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=1219.1&aid=283&pop=0 We had the truck inspected by Merit Chevrolet. It will need front brakes pads in about 2000 miles, two new belts, and the rear window to be fixed,The switch needs to be replaced. The rear window worked fine up until two days ago. All of this is very minor and standard for any car, let alone a classic car. It is very rare to find a 32 year old truck in this original condition. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find them like this and will continue be as time goes on. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and/or if you would like to come set up a time to look at it or test drive it, let me know. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DON'T INTEND TO BUY OR JUST THINKING ABOUT IT.THANK YOU
