Hello everyone, Henrik here from GM Truck Center, in beautiful down town Burbank, home of our world famous 4x4's. This is a very rare 1998 5-speed manual 3/4 ton 2500 series extra cab long bed 4 wheel drive pickup. This truck belongs to one of our counter guys and he is about to have his 3rd kid so now its time for something with 4 doors. This truck was ordered fully loaded with power windows, door locks, cruise, tilt, A/C, CD player, bucket seats with center console, overhead console, and heavy duty Tow package. The truck is in great running condition, the original Vortec 350 small block has an Air Raid cold air intake and a set of Thorley thick flange headers mated to a Flowmaster muffler, it sounds sweet and runs excellent. The rare factory 5-speed is GM's heavy duty NV4500 maual, it has the compound low first gear and the 5th gear overdrive, this truck gets around 17 miles per gallon on the highway, not bad for a lifted 3/4 ton full size 4 wheel drive pickup. The trans shifts great through all the gears and the truck has a very smooth hydraulic clutch. The transfer case is the factory part time manual shift unit, it is in excellent working condition. The rear end was custom ordered from the factory with the GM corp. full floating 14 bolt, it has a factory locking device in it and it works great. The truck has factory 3:73 gears in it. ( small block trucks usually come with the semi-floating rear end ) The truck has a 6 inch Pro-comp suspension lift on it, it has been on there for a few years and its still holding up great. The rims are 17 inch black powder coated Pro-Comps, wrapped with 315-70-17 BFGoodrich all terrains, the tires are in fair shape with 25% tread left on them, the rims are like new. The inside of the bed was sprayed with Line-X bed liner last year and it has never been used to carry anything bigger or heavier than a couple of kids bicycles. The truck was repainted last year with a 2 stage factory peweter color, the truck was originally peweter to start with, it was painted due to clear coat wear. The body and paint are in near excellent condition. Both front and rear bumpers were removed and powder coated semi black and the grille was replaced with a matching black unit. The contrast looks good against the peweter color and compliments the black wheels. The interior is the original grey cloth, and its in great condition, the truck has the factory AM FM CD player in it and it works great. All the lights and gauges, and power equipment work perfect. The A/C blows ice cold. Overall this is a nice truck, it was used primarily on the freeway and most of the miles are freeway miles, the truck goes down the road nice and tight and has lots of life left in it.
