Hi and thanks for stopping by to view our auction for this outstanding, 1999 BMW E39 540i luxury sedan with M Sport Package! I have owned this vehicle since June 2008 and it has been well kept and maintained as a daily driver since then. Before I bought this car from a local dealer, it was owned by one person for the previous 8 years in NC, and was a leased vehicle before that. The car is in excellent structural and mechanical condition, never wrecked and never any major mechanical issues. This car drives with typical BMW tight handling characteristics, and lots of power. This 1999 BMW 540i Sport is "Orient blue" metallic exterior, with gray leather interior and is in great shape overall. There is normal wear and tear associated with a 12 year old car, some scuffs in the paint but still looks nice. There is a small hole in the backseat behind the driver seat, but no other rips or tears. There are no odors and it looks clean. The rims need to be refinished as they have some curb grinds and the paint is chipping, I was quoted $50.00 a wheel at a local shop. There is a small ding that happened before I owned the car in the rear right passenger door that is only evident upon close inspection. The 4.4L, 282HP, inline 8-cylinder engine has more power than you will ever need- 100mph feels about the same as 70mph. The 6 speed automatic transmission feels like a cruiser, but when in Sport mode you can shift it like a manual racer, it will knock your head back.
