This 2009 Ariel Atom 3 was sold new in May of 2009 and has been under the car of Fox Motorsports all its life. It is in excellent condition inside and out. This Atom has had limited use on the road and at private track days, covering only 500 miles since new. The Atom has never been off-track, abused, or driven in the rain. All maintenance is up to spec including oil changes, coolant flush, and brake fluid flush. The tires are in excellent shape. The Ariel Atom 3 is the newest and most developed of the Ariel models. It features the Honda K20A FD2 Japanese-spec (JDM Civic Type R) engine (instead of the GM EcoTec). This example weighs around 1350 pounds and has the 300 hp supercharged option. The factory-upgraded brakes give this Atom amazing stopping ability and the power to weight ratio makes the car quicker than nearly any car on the road. The factory quotes lists the 0-60 mph time as “sub 3 seconds” and 0-100-0 mph as “sub 11 seconds”.
