I am not the original owner, it was purchased at an auction by an individual, I bought it from him. As you can see, a lot of time and money has went into my car, but I have no more time to work on it and I don't want it to sit there. I'd rather somebody have it that can use it and appreciate it. It is a factory A/C car, I was going to swap the cam out so it needs to be recharged. It has the 1 1/8" front handling package sway bar, and a 15/16" front bar flipped to rear sway bar, per the Torino Handling Manual. 460 springs in front and HD springs out back with all police spec shocks. It has '72 Thunderbird front rotors (larger diameter). It used to have a vinyl top, it peeled up, I removed it and painted the roof. It has been sitting for a while, so the interior has some mildew, it needs a thorough cleaning. It has a Crane HI-6 digital ignition control and has Taylor ThunderVolt plug wires. The brakes need to be flushed and bled, the front rotors are slightly warped. I haven't driven it much in 3 years. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend driving it a long distance, I would recommend shipping it, but its your call. Buyer is responsible for arranging shipment and pickup. $500.00 due within 48 hours of auction close, total amount due within 10 days, I prefer paypal, I will accept personal checks or money orders but they will have to be sent to me and they will have to clear before pickup, I also accept cash in person. When I first got the car, behind the rear wheels were rusted, so I tried my hand at fiberglass bodywork...its not perfect to say the least. The car is not perfect and needs work, headliner is gone, some interior trim was broken when I got it, bondo on RF fender, usual rust behind the rear wheels, however the frame is solid (the original owner ordered it with factory undercoating). http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2425255/1973-mercury-montego if you want more up-to-date photos, I can get them to you. Clear title in hand. Any questions, feel free to ask. Very low reserve auction, car really needs to go, as bills are piling up. Drivetrain would make a very good swap for another car. Priced well under NADA "poor" condition. With winter approaching, it'd make a great father-son project, or just a winter project. For sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end auction early. I have all the necessary parts for the cam swap (Lunati cam, lifters, springs, locks, retainers, pushrods, new guide plates, valve stem seals, etc.) they don't go with the car, but if interested, ask me, I'll get the part numbers to you and if you're interested, I'll set up a private auction (I don't know how much shipping would be, but the parts will go with the car if you buy them). Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
