Hello, this is a 1964 Kaiser Willys Jeep CJ5 that I purchased in 2002 from its original owner in Gowen City, PA. When I purchased it, it had 53,727 miles. Today, it has 53,736 miles. It was last inspected in 1985. It has not been inspected since. It was primarily used as a farm jeep and lived on the same farm from 1964 to 2002. The original owner passed away in 2002. He had started a restoration project on the jeep. I think it has been repainted its original color and has had some body work done to repair rust damage. I purchased the Jeep with the intent of restoring it with my son. My son is more into skateboards and Facebook at this point and isn't interested in restoring the Jeep. The Jeep has been sitting in my garage as is for about 10 years. When I purchased it, I had the compression tested and it was fine. It ran fine for the 10 miles I drove it, but always had some light smoke out the back. I was told by my mechanic that it most likely needed a "good tuneup". Soon after purchasing it, I parked it in the garage and it hasn't really moved since. It was last started about 2-3 years ago. The jeep no longer starts as the battery is long dead. Also, the brake pedal goes directly to the floor. I tried moving it out of the garage for pictures and it is stuck in place. I am not sure if the parking brake is stuck, or not. I am really not sure why it won't move. I am confident it is nothing major and the new owner can figure it out. Here are some positives...4 new tires purchased by the previous owner in 2001 with very little use, original rear seat that is not attached to the frame or body, original front seats, solex carburator, original (?) white soft top in decent condition. Here are some negatives....doesn't start (battery?),brakes need to be redone (I have 2 extra jeep axles that go with the Jeep. I was told these have 11 inch backing plates that can be used to upgrade the Jeep, but I cannot guarantee they will fit or what they are), body rust, shocks are bad (I think I have replacements and will include them), currently stuck in place, etc.... This is a really cool Jeep with a lot of potential. The picture of the RED JEEP is a 64 restored Jeep that sold on ebay a while back for about $14,000. I saved the pictures for reference. Please assume the worst in terms of condition as you think about purchasing this Jeep. It needs A LOT of work. I thought briefly about parting this jeep out but would rather see it go to a good home and be restored. I AM SELLING THIS JEEP AS IS! I AM NOT A JEEP EXPERT, PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE BUYING! I will try to answer any questions you may have. I have the title in hand. I live in Yardley, PA, about 35 miles north of Philadelphia near Trenton, NJ. The buyer will need to remove the Jeep from my garage due to it being "stuck". OTHER THAN THE JEEP AS PICTURED, YOU WILL ALSO GET THE SOFT WHITE TOP, AND 2 EXTRA AXLES. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAEV ANY QUESTIONS. THANKS. JIM October 10 Update - I added 2 pictures of the white soft top. It is a vintage Bestop and probably original to the Jeep. I don't see any rips or tears and I have all the hardware. I also added a picture of the 2 extra axles with larger backer plates. I also found an extra transmission that was with the axles, new set of shocks, original carburator (Solex is in the Jeep), original vacuum fuel pump, and new black seat covers for the front seats that were purchased 10 years ago, and some other parts. October 11 Update - I have received lots of questions about the jeep. All the items listed above are included in the purchase. I will try and post more pix of the undercarriage.
