THIS IS A DRIVER QUALITY CAR FOR THOSE LEISURELY WEEKENDS ON THE ROAD. IT DRAWS A LOT OF ATTENTION AND CONVERSATION WHEREVER IT GOES. THE FLA. TITLE IS CLEAR. I HAVE OWNED THE CAR FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. THE REASON FOR SELLING IS BOTH HEALTH AND FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS. THE CAR WAS ASSEMBLED IN FLINT MICHIGAN. THE ORGINAL COLORS ARE ONYX BLACK BOTTOM AND INDIA IVORY TOP ( PAINT CODE 8070 P ). THE INTERIOR TRIM CODE IS 676 ( BLACK/RED ). THE CAR HAS A CARBEURATED 327 ENGINE, BLOCK #TIIIOHCH, WITH A MILD CAM; A WIELAND ALUMINUM HIGH-RISE MANIFOLD; DOUBLE HUMP " FEULIE " HEADS; AND EXHAUST HEADERS. THE DONOR CAR WAS A 1965 CHEVROLET IMPALA WAGON. THE ENGINE SOUNDS GREAT AND TIGHT ( DUAL EXHAUST - NICE RUMBLE SOUND ). THE CAR RUNS VERY STRONG. THE TRANSMISSION IS A T-350 WITH A B&M FLOOR SHIFTER. THE CAR HAS A 9" REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY. WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR, IT HAD BEEN SITTING IN A GARAGE FOR OVER TWO YEARS. CONSEQUENTLY, THE ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER BUT NOT START. THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO A FAULTY FUEL PUMP; FUEL TANK; FUEL LINE; GAS ASCENDING UNIT AND FUEL FILTER WHICH HAVE ALL BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW PARTS, INCLUDING FUEL TANK STRAPS. THE CAR HAS STANDARD DRUM BRAKES AND MANUAL STEERING. THE FRONT END SEEMS TIGHT. THE BRAKES STOP THE CAR SMOOTHLY AND EFFICIENTLY. THE BATTERY IS BRAND YEAR. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW. BOTH DOORS ( SKINS ) AND BOTH REAR FULL QUARTER PANELS WERE REPLACED WITH NEW PANELS. ALSO THE LAST 10" OF THE TRUNK FLOOR AND THE TAIL PAN WERE REPLACED WITH NEW PANELS. THE ONLY BONDO THAT I COULD IDENTIFY IS AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF BOTH FRONT FENDERS. THE BOTTOMS OF THE DOORS APPEAR TO BE IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL AS THE TRUNK LID. THE FLOORS ARE SOLID. THEY WERE PATCHED WITH REPLACEMENT PANELS, AS NEEDED, ALONG THE OUTER EDGE OF THE FLOOR. THE INNER AND OUTER ROCKER PANELS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE OUTER ONES APPEAR TO BE NEW REPLACEMENTS. ONE OF THE BODY BRACKETS IS RUSTED AT THE RIGHT REAR OF THE CAR. THE FRAME IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND DOES NOT SHOW ANY SIGN OF RUST OR FATIGUE. THE HOOD HINDGES ARE WEAK. I HAVE PURCHASED NEW HINDGES, SPRINGS AND BOLTS FOR INSTALLATION. THE PAINT HAS A HIGH GLOSS AND LOOKS FANTASTIC FROM 20 FEET, BUT IS NOT SHOW QUALITY ( MINOR SCRATCHES AND A FEW CHIPS FROM USE ). THE PAINT SURFACE IS UNIFORM IN APPEARANCE, BUT HAS A SLIGHT " ORANGE PEEL" LOOK TO IT. THE REAR TRUNK HAS A SMALL EGG SIZE BUBBLE ON THE TOP. THE CHROME ON THE CAR IS DRIVER QUALITY WITH SOME DENTS, SCRAPES AND SAND PAPER MARKINGS. IT COULD ALSO USE SOME ADJUSTMENT AND POSSIBLY NEED CLIPS. ALL OF THE GLASS IS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH NO CRACKS, HOWEVER, THE EDGES OF THE SIDE GLASS IS JUST BEGINNING TO SHOW SOME MINOR "FOGGING". THE FRONT SHADED WINDSHIELD AND BACK GLASS LOOK LIKE NEW. THE WINDOW REGULATORS SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH BETTER FUNCTIONING ONES. THE INTERIOR IS OLD SCHOOL ROLL AND PLEAT ( RED/GRAY ) WITH BUCKET SEATS. THE HEADLINER IS GRAY AND IN GOOD CONDITION AS IS ALL THE UPHOLSTRY. THE DASH WITH ITS ADDED GUAGES, WIRING AND AFTER-MARKET RADIO LOOKS HAPHAZARD. THE ENTIRE DASH NEEDS TO BE REPAINTED AND DETAILED. THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, HOWEVER THEY SHOW SOME MINOR SURFACE RUST. IN SUMMARY, THE RESERVE IS SET AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE FOR A CLASSIC IN THIS CONDITION.
