********* I HAVE LOWERED THE RESERVE SO THE BIKE WILL SELL AT THIS AUCTION ************ Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. Up for bid is a 1969 HONDA CB750 SANDCAST. The vin is cb750-1001718, engine number cb750e-1001905, with 24,683 miles. I have decided to sell this collector's piece purely because this bike makes me nervous. I do not ride it nor let anyone around it. I am very afraid something will happen to it. It sits in the entry room to my house. It is a very beautiful motorcycle but, it is collecting dust and I would like to see it in a home where it will be loved more than I do. I have a clean CA title for it. All numbers on the bike match the numbers on the paperwork. Motorcycle History: The hobby of motorcycles has slowly taken over my life and all of my friends know it. Any time they see a bike sitting around they let me know about it. My friend told me about a motorcycle at an elderly gentleman's house. I went and spoke to the gentleman. This was his bike since new. He and his buddy went to Johnnie Ross' dealership in Red Bluff CA with the intent to each purchase a motorcycle. His friend called dibs on this CB first. The gentleman didnt find anything he wanted so, his friend let him purchase the bike. He decided to turn it into a "chopper" a few years after purchase. This consisted of cutting the front fender to only a couple inches, Painting the bike purple, cutting off the mufflers, installing a sissy bar, and recovering the seat with some groovy material. Please note, there was NO cutting or welding done to the frame or such. He just called it his chopper. In 1975 his house was broken into and his safe was stolen. The paperwork for the CB was inside of the safe. He quit riding the bike afterwords thinking he could not now registered the motorcycle without the paperwork. He had it stored inside for awhile then moved under an overhang covered up with a tarp. He had kept the engine in good shape by turning the engine over a couple times every week or two. He was quite adamant in letting me know of this. After straightening out the paperwork issue with the DMV, I purchased the motorcycle from him. Motorcycle Condition: The tank needed some work so it was brought to a local motorcycle painter along with all of the other pieces to get painted. Frame is coated in a two part epoxy paint. The engine has 160lbs of compression across the board. The front fender is not correct for the bike and the exhaust pipes are 341's. The seat has a repo seat cover but has the original pan and foam all in good condition. New brakes in the rear and front brakes completely rebuilt. All new plugs, points, condensers, carbs have been gone through, valves adjusted, timing set, etc, etc, etc. Before I put the bike up for sale, I had my mechanic go through the carbs again, change the oil, and do a "once over" on the bike. The bike runs like a dream. As soon as you touch the start button it starts right up with or without the choke.... What do you expect,, its a Honda. The chrome is all original. I opted not to have it re-chromed. I believe it is in very nice shape for it's age but it is 40 years old and doesnt look like out of the shop chrome. All of the blinkers, horn, etc, etc work. This is a VERY beautiful bike. It would fit perfectly in a collection or as a daily rider. Always starts, always goes. Even people that are not into motorcycles just stop and stare at it. It attracts everyone from everywhere. It just took first place in a recent local motorcycle show. Ok, now let me tell you about the negatives of the bike.. The left side cover has the bottom mounting nipple broke off, the kick lever doesnt like to come up by itself all of the time, two cylinder fins on the left side are chipped, there is a bit of what looks like scratches above the honda emblem on the right side of the tank. I think you can hardly see it in the pictures, and the speedometer lens has two hairline cracks in it. Over all, this bike is excellent. I completely love this bike and Im sure you will too! Terms of Sale: Please ask any questions you may have prior to purchase/bidding. I will sell world wide but you are still required to line up your own shipping and payment instructions are the same. The auction will go full length. Bike is NOT for sale locally, only on Ebay. All sales are final. There is no warranty nor any implied. I do not require a deposit. You can pay total in whole. Payment must be received within 7 days of auction end. I require payment must be in form of a certified check or money order from a bank that is nation wide such as, Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, US Bank, etc. The reason I ask this is my small, hometown type of bank will not accept larger checks or order from other banks. Yes, I will help the shippers load and work around their schedule. Once I receive payment, I will overnight you the title. I will also give winning bidder the original owners information and paperwork. ***** PLEASE NOTE ****** I will block anyone from bidding that has less than ten (10) feedback unless you contact me prior. I have had bidders "win" auctions before and not pay. Most of witch have had less than 10 feedback. I do this for my and all other bidders protection. Thank you very much. Thank you very much for looking at my auction and good luck!!!!
