Vehicle Detail

Factory Five Racing Shelby Cobra Replica being sold at NO RESERVE! This fun little car has a Ford factory 5.0 liter (302ci) fuel injected crate engine. Ford part number M6007X50. The spec's on the Ford web site show 360hp with 390 ft/lbs of torque . The invoice for the engine I was given by the first owner is dated 2/14/00. I purchased the car in Aug. 2007. I was told the car had only been on the road for 2 years at that time. The original owner had gotten tired of the build and did what he could to finish and sell it. The gages in the car when I purchased it showed 1,550 miles, I replaced all of the gages with new ones, they now show 3,300 miles, combined my best guess is about 5,000 total miles but I cannot guarentee this. The Cobra also has a Ford 8.8 rear end, Halibrand rims and Firestone Wide Oval tires (245/45R17 front, 275/40R17 rear) both purchased last year with 1,000 miles on them. The dash and gages were replaced 2 years ago, the dash is now carbon fiber. Since I have owned the car it has been kept in a air conditioned and heated warehouse that I own. This car runs exceptionally strong and at just over 1,900lbs. it will sit you back in your seat when you get on it. The frame is the standard FfR tubular contruction and has rack and pinoin steering. Front disc and drum rear brakes. The car is titled in the state of Illinois as a "1965 Ford Convertible". If you ever wanted a Shelby Cobra at a reasonable price this is it. I'm not the best garage mechanic, I have friends that help me when I get over my head but this car is so simple in it's construction I've done a lot of the work myself. I do have the assembly manual that came with the car and this has helped quite a bit. There are two stone chips on the front passenger side, I've included a picture of this area. This car would also be an excellent weekend racer!
