Vehicle Detail
I am selling my 1990 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Station Wagon which is in excellent condition for its age. I purchased the wagon when it had 100,000 miles on it from the grandson of the original owner, so I am technically the 3rd owner. The car originally came fron Red Lion, Pennsylvania and is a fully optioned vehicle. When I purchased it, I replaced the timing chain and gears, intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, rear springs, front and rear shocks, and gave it a complete tune up including cap rotor and wires. I also replaced the front brake pads and rotors, rear brake shoes and drums, and rear wheel cylinder shortly after purchase I installed the Cooper Cobra P235/70R15 Radial GT tires 2 years ago which have approximately 8,000 miles on them The battery was replaced last summer. I have owned the wagon for 5 years and have put 20,000 trouble free miles on it. I used it mainly for road trips and it has been to Maine 2 times, Pennsylvania numerous times, and most recently in August camping in Upstate New York. The wagon runs perfectly, and rides smooth with no rattles, wind noise, clunks, or abnormal noises. The wagon is equipped with power brakes, power steering, power windows and door locks, tilt steering, cruise control, power mirrors, air conditioning, illuminated visor mirrors, and dimming rear view mirror. It also has the rear facing 3rd row seat and 2 way tail gate which operates perfectly. The left side mirror can no longer be adjusted from the switch, as the handle came out of the switch. The fuel gauge is also slightly inaccurate, as it will run out of gas when the gauge reads 1/8 tank. I usually fill it when it reaches 1/4 tank to avoid running out of fuel. Other than that, everyting in the vehicle works 100%. The engine is the Oldsmobile 307 with a 4BBL carburetor. The transmission is a 200-4r automatic 4 speed overdrive which shifts perfectly with no slippage. The transmission filter, pan gasket, and TCC solenoid were replaced 2 years ago as maintenance. Engine does not burn oil, and purrs like a kitten. I always maintain this vehicle, as it transports my wife and 2 small kids on road trips, so I do not want or need the hassle of a breakdown. The body is straight and clean, and the paint still shines with the only issues being a dent on top of the left front fender, slight rust spot beginning to appear below 1 rear window, and cracking/peeling of woodgrain applique in 2 areas due to age. The interior is in excellent shape including headliner, and the original floor mats are still in place. I have many new parts still in the boxes, as well as the Factory Service and Factory Parts manuals all of which will go to the new owner. I have never hesitated to drive this car anywhere, at any time, or in any weather. It will make a perfect daily driver as is, or would be a great starting point for a restoration or customization.
