I am listing for sale my 1980 Chevrolet El Camino. I am a car collector and reducing the size of my collection. I have owned this car for 3 or 4 years now. This car is very clean and in very good condition but has some flaws, I would not have a problem driving anywhere. This car runs like new. My known history with the car as follows: I purchased the car in Michigan on or around 2009. The owner was a Public Elementary School Teacher. The car was always stored in garage and the vehicle was very well maintained. He had also owned the car a few years. He purchased it from a retired mechanic who pulled a small boat in Summer; who could not drive anymore and he restored it. This vehicle was very well maintained and it is obvious it saw little or any salt in it's operational lifetime. SInce I purchased it as any used vehicle I buy, I changed out all fluids and I am very big on Maintenence. The dash was faded and vents were worn. I replaced both with a new dash pad and vents. I had a minor valve cover seal leak so, those were also replaced. The vehicle is and has been almost always garaged and professionally detailed regularly. The good: Exceptional condition: By no means a show car but very presentable as is, one of the cleanest drivers out there. From a mechanical standpoint, nothing needs to be done. All gauges work and options except where noted are in presentable operating condition. The 305 motor just purrs and shifts smooth. Tires are nearly new and have little mileage. I have not driven car more than 5000 miles since I have owned it. The bad Has Air Conditioning but needs new compressor, I just did not get to it before deciding to sell it. has minor stone chipping on rocker (pass side) and rear quarters (see pics). Not a big deal but worth noting. Minor expense to make perfect again. The front seat is a little worn and would need to be replaced to make interior in the almost perfect catagory. Bed has some minor denting but I am being very critical here. That's it for uglies. I have enjoyed this car but we have a smaller space now and some of the cars need to go.
