Vehicle Detail

1996 Dodge Ram Magnum V8 - Mechanic's Special The Story: This truck was my husband's truck, we have since separated. I gave it to my son to go to college, while he was up in Gainesville he started experience power problems. He was able to drive it back down. I then had my brother in law look at it and he basically took it out of commission. It wouldn't start!!! So then I met a Certified Mechanic who agreed to barter fixing the truck for me and I would build a website for him. After two weeks, he was able to get it running. While he had it I purchased the following: 1. New Dodge Fuel Pump 2. New Computer 3. New Ignition Rotor 4. Pads, Radiator Cap, 5. Map Sensor 6. New Spark plugs and wires He was able to get the truck running, not perfectly, but I knew I ran out of bartering hours and felt bad so I drove the truck home. Then I had a muffler company install a new Catalytic Converter and weld the muffler together as it had been clamped together. The truck was still running a little rough so I then went to the junk yard and bought 8 used fuel injectors which we cleaned and installed. The truck was running much better. Then it started vibrating when sitting and driving, so my ex-husband changed the U-Joints and it made it worse. I took it to another mechanic and he said too many people have had their hands on the truck and he doesn't want to fix it. So here I am, trying to sell the truck. On the outside, it looks great. We were lucky because at one time two of the tires had blown (defective tires) and we were able to get a new bed and get the truck painted. So the outside looks good. The hood has a few brown dots from sitting under my olive tree. The seats are ripped but covered with seat covers, the dash is cracked (normal for most Dodge Rams up to 2000). I chromed it out with chrome trim on the bed, Ram Head tail lights, step up noodles (roll bar), Ram head gas cap cover. It has custom rims with 10ply tires on them. The tires are 70% good. It comes with a tow package and a Sony stereo. There is wiring in the truck from my son trying to install his stereo. The truck does have a bed liner. I have attached photos for your review and I am also attaching a video so you can hear the engine run. The engine has never overheated, there is no milky or grunge on the oil cap. We use synthetic oil and have religiously changed it every 3,500 miles. The transmission was rebuilt at 80,000. This is a good solid truck, it just needs a good mechanic to look at it and fix it. Someone who is a Dodge Ram expert would be best... Here is the video of me starting the truck and what is sounds like and what issues it has. I uploaded it to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oC-Pv5GClM
