Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE FOR SALE: 1998 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GTP DAYTONA 500 ANNIVERSARY EDITION Up for sale is my 1998 Grand Prix GTP Daytona 500 Anniversary Edition Car. This is a limited edition car that was made with a total of only 1500 that were ever made. Below is the description that Pontiac used when advertising this car: “In 1998 Pontiac also launched a special pace car model. This model celebrated the 40th running of the Daytona 500 on February 15, 1998. The pace-car replicas had special Medium Gulf Blue Metallic paint, unique "Sparkle Silver" 16-inch torque star aluminum wheels, custom decaling, a plaque notating the specific model number and custom door panels. Also standard was a heads-up-display that projected the current speed onto the windshield. 1500 were produced, with 200 of the 1500 getting sunroofs.” This car is Number 235 out of the 1500 that were made. The most important option on this car is the 3.8L Super Charged Engine. The Super Charger works perfect. This car has every possible option except the sunroof. Some of the options are: - Heads Up Digital Display, this displays settings on the windshield. - Power Windows, Mirrors & Seats. - Heated Seat. Dual climate zone heating/ AC. - Remote Trunk Button. - AM/FM/CD. - Radio Controls on the Steering Wheel. - 2 different Modes for the shifting of the automatic transmission. - Keyless entry - Factory Alarm system The Added extras on the car are as follows: - Stainless Steel Headers. - 2 Flowmaster Mufflers - 2 SLP Exhaust Tips - Air Intake. - Chrome Wheels. I also have the Original Factory Wheels that will be included. (There is only 1 Wheel shown, there are 4 of the same wheels, the tires on the wheels hold air but they are worn) - New Front Light Lenses. I have changed the Oil and Filter on the car every 3000 miles. The mileage on the car is 133,xxx. The AC was charged at the beginning of the summer and it is still blowing Cold. Condition Of Car: - Body is in Excellent Shape, no rust to speak of. There are a couple of light scratches. And on the back Plastic Bumper Cover there is about a 6” area where the blue paint was scratched off. - Interior is Leather and in Excellent Condition. I noticed that in the back outside corner of the drivers seat there is about a 1" gap where the seam on the leather has torn. Always treated with Armor all. I think there is a plastic molding around the door handle that has cracked. Otherwise no cracks or tears anywhere. - The Engine runs Smooth and the Transmission shifts Properly. - The Super Charger works correctly and it gives a Strong Boost to the car. Being this is a 13 year old car it does need a couple things done to it for Pennsylvania Inspection, these are things that the Inspection Garage informed me of: - Right front axle boot is torn. - A flange on the exhaust needs tightened or replaced. - Rust through on both rocker panels. - The Check Engine light comes on. This happened when the Headers were put on the car. The Mechanic who put the Headers on had to custom bend one of the pipes and the wire that goes to this switch had to be extended about 6” to make it the switch. The switch is still screwed into the exhaust pipe, all is needs is the wire extended and attached to the switch. - - This car was driven less than 5000 miles in years 2010 thru 2011 so it is exempt from the Pennsylvania Emissions Inspection. I do not want to sell the car but I have another project that I want to work on. Also, this car has never been raced or abused. NOTE: I have described this car to the best of my knowledge.
