Vehicle Detail

According to the Marti Report, this vehicle is a "one of one". There is only one Royal Maroon 68 Mustang Coupe, S-Code, GT 390 Hypo, with a Gold Nugget interior. This car is equipped with S-Code features, such as a C6 transmission, front disc brakes, and a 9 inch rear differential. It has a re-built 390 Hypo V8 and C6 transmission that we believe to be matching numbers, original to this vehicle. The carburetor is a Ford 4100 four-barrel that was recently rebuilt. The intake and exhaust manifolds are original to this engine. The engine has been dressed up with a black paint job and chrome valve covers, air cleaner, and oil pan. New items include all interior vinyl, dashboard (face and pad), headliner, Goodyear tires, beauty rings, GT hubcaps, battery, trunk liners, hood hinge, front bumper, kick panels, door panels, rocker panel chrome, carpet, paint, water pump, universal joints, filler neck, brake parts, master cylinder, grill scoop trim, starter, engine dressing, throttle linkage, anti-sway bar, brakes, fuel lines, front and rear glass rubber, etc., etc. We have worked on this Mustang to make it a very nice vehicle. The rebuilding includes the engine, transmission, carburetor, alternator, window mechanisms, and radiator. It has been recently tuned and aligned. This coupe spent most of its life in the dry climate of Nevada and Southern Utah. We have seen hundreds of Mustangs, but this is one of the very few that had no rust in the floor pans or trunk, and the metal in those areas is original. The quarter panels, doors and left fender appear to be original. The right front fender has been replaced. The rear quarter panels are rolled, allowing for larger tires, should you desire. Any rust (all minor) that we could find was cut out and replaced with new metal. This is a very clean vehicle in terms of rust. While not perfect, this car is a fine vehicle. It sounds beautiful when it is running. The dual exhaust has Cherry Bombs (so mid-century!) on them, giving this GT a slightly louder signature than normal, but not obnoxious. I will be adding more and better photos as the days go by. Thanks so much for looking ... and bidding!
