V-8 Convertible-Power Top This is a very nice looking 1967 Galaxie 500 2door Convertible. The paint is new and the drive line and the suspension have been gone through and restored. It has had many new parts installed over the past couple of years. This Galaxie 500 has had several thousand dollars spent on it recently and I have majority of the receipts to prove what parts are new and I have many receipts for the work and repairs that have been performed. I purchased this car from a man that worked for the HUTCHESON FORD Dealership in St.James Missouri. Most of the new parts came from and were purchased through this FORD Dealership. The man I purchased this car from told me he put $20k into this car with in the past 2 yrs. The body is straight and it looks very nice. The engine compartment is very clean and looks great. The engine and the engine bay are detailed very nicely and it looks original and like new under the hood. The body of this 1967 Galaxie 500 is nice & clean and it looks great. The car is straight and very solid with no sign of rust or rot. This car was purchased for $6500 before the restoration was ever started. The paint & body were completed in April of 2011 of this year by Hutchenson Collision Center. The new "Harbor Blue" paint looks very nice and it shines great. The paint job and body are clean & slick and I have the receipt for the new paint job. The front end was completely rebuilt will all new parts that includes a New Strut Bushing Kit, New Bushings & Stabilizer Bar Kit & Link Kit, Upper & Lower Ball Joints, New Front Coil Springs with New Rubber Insulators and Front Suspension Bumpers, Upper Control Arm Shaft Bushings, New Shocks, Brakes, Brake Lines & Hardware. The rear end was serviced and the Rear Coil Springs, Shocks and Brakes are new. It has a set 4-Big Pacer 15x7 steel wheels that were purchased new from Ford and it has a new set of 4-P235/75R15 M+S White Wall Tires with a matching set of hub caps all the way around. The hub caps are in nice & clean and they have new red medallions in the centers. I have the receipts for the newly rebuilt SB Ford 289 V-8 Engine. It has a rebuilt C6 3 spd. Automatic Transmission, Holley 4bbl. Carburetor and New Aluminum Hi-Rise Intake. It has a New Comp Cam & Lifters- the cam has a nice lope at idle and I have the spec sheet for the cam. I have receipts for all of these items that I am about to list. The engine block was hot tanked, honed & bored. It has New Rings, New Pistons, New Rod Bolts, Reconditioned Rods & New Main Bearings, New Melling Oil Pump & Pickup Screen, New oil Pump Shaft & Gears with ARP Bolts, New Cam Bearings & Freeze Plugs, New Harmonic Balancer & Water Pump, New Mechanical Fuel Pump, New Throttle Kit & Throttle Cable Plate Kit, New Distributor, Coil, Cap & Rotor, New Thermostat Housing & Thermostat, New Starter, New Alternator, Voltage Regulator & Starter Solenoid, New Fuel Lines, All New Belts & Hoses and all New Hose Clamps, New Pulleys, New Spark Plugs & Plug Wires, New Battery, Battery Tray, Battery Hold Down and New Battery Cables. The cylinder heads were resurfaced and a complete valve job was performed and hardened seats were installed. A full & complete gasket kit was used when the engine was assembled along with all new nuts, bolts & washers. It has a New "Cool Craft" Radiator with an Electric Fan, Brand New Power Steering Pump, P/S Lines, New P/S Brackets & P/S Belt. It has a New Heater Blower Motor and all New Heater Hoses & Hose Clamps were used. The engine bay was finished off with a full set of the original type decal's & stickers to make the engine look like factory original. It also has New top & bottom radiator rubber supports , New top of radiator to hood-rubber air deflector, Radiator side deflector seals, Front fender apron shields and a hood & fender rubber bumper kit, New washer motor & reservoir bag and bracket. The engine always fires right up with no signs of engine smoke ever. There are no engine leaks and all of the fluids are clean & full and the transmission shifts nice. The exhaust system is new and it sounds great when you stand behind the car while running. It has stock exhaust manifolds with a pair of glass packs that exit correctly out the rear of the car. The interior is clean and look to be original. It is in fair to decent driver condition with signs of age showing here & there. The dash cluster is clean and clear and the gauges, lights and the speedometer all seem to be working correctly and in normal operating condition. There dash pad has a few cracks and the drivers side bottom of the front seat has a split that has been taped. The passengers side of the front seat and the back seat are nice. The carpet is clean and looks to be original and it has a full set of carpeted floor mats. It could use 2 new arm rest for the doors. I have 1 arm rest that is in poor condition. The front & rear panels are original and show normal age. It has a complete set of functioning seat belts for both the front and rear seats. The sun-visors are in good condition and the glove box insert is original and in great condition. The door, the hood and the trunk lid all open and close with ease. It has a brand new tinted windshield installed. The windows all roll up and down properly and with ease. I will be selling this car as-is, where-is condition and to be a nice and clean running & driving project. Majority of the hard work has been completed. With a little time and a few more bucks this will be a very nice car when finished. As with any used car there are some thing that could use some attention. It has the original convertible top that functions correctly and is in great working condition. The power top switch is new and the convertible top frame is in very good condition. There were a 3 tears in the original top that were stitched well and seem to be holding just fine. The interior is clean and would look great if you were to replace a few things that are showing some age. The original weather stripping is in poor condition and should be replaced with new. The stainless trim and the chrome all appear to be original. The car stops, steers and drives good but I feel that it should have the front end aligned. The carburetor is used and needs to be dialed in better or possibly even replaced or rebuilt because it is cold natured and it will stumble when accelerating. It always fires right up with no signs of engine smoke ever. There are no engine leaks and all of the fluids are clean & full.
