1971 Honda SL 70 Here is a very nice 1971 Honda SL 70. It has been recently restored with a new "big bore" kit giving it a whopping 88cc of fire breathing power! It has new tires, new carb, new seat cover, paint on frame and tank. The gas tank has been re-lined. It has a new clutch and "gears" in the transmission---as per the guy who restored the bike. This is a very nice amateur restoration. The mileage is just a number. The speedo is from another bike and does NOT represent the miles on this one. The bike comes with a bill of sale only. I have ridden this bike probably 25 miles and it performs very nicely. It starts well--needs choke when it is cold, shifts well and is a pleasant bike to ride. The only problem with the bike is when the tank is full of gas, a bit will dribble out. Sometimes it is a bit fussy about finding neutral. Looking critically at the bike, there are a few cost saving corners he cut---he painted the shock springs and brake pedal rather than re-plating them. The handlebar grips are not the original style. The rims are actually very nice originals. The bike starts, runs, preforms as it should and is great fun! Delivery: I will be going to the car show in Hershey PA from Chattanooga TN on October 4-9. The route is I-75 to Knoxville then I-81 to PA. I will deliver the bike along this route for a VERY small charge depending on how much of my vacation it consumes. Obviously, pick up in Chattanooga is great as well. DO NOT ASSUME DELIVERY UNTIL WE HAVE TALKED!!! If I deliver the bike, a $200 deposit and any delivery charge must be sent prior to me departing on the morning of Oct 4. This can be done by paypal, but the balance is expected in certified funds--cash is preferred. Otherwise I expect a $200 deposit within 1 week and the balance in cash on pick up.
