• Out of state sales are responsible for your state sales tax if you have your vehicle shipped or towed. If the vehicle is shipped or towed this will apply. Florida DMV has gone online and a service charge of $99 will apply to each and every temporary tag issued. This can be based on whichever state sales tax is lower. Florida sales tax is 6 %.
