Vehicle Detail

This Bugeye is a rare rust free, accident free, original California car that runs great with with its original 948cc engine and smooth case transmission. The engine was rebuilt 8 years ago and has less than 20,000 miles on it. At that time the clutch and exhaust were replaced. The carburetors were upgraded to the larger 1 1/4" SUs from a later Sprite. All gauges and lights work as they should. The oil pressure is 65 psi at idle while warm and 70 psi when driving. The dash was not recovered because the previous owner liked the look with all the rally plates on it. All 5 tires and wheels are in very good condition. The soft top has no material on it, but the top frame is nice. This car shows no signs of structural repair or rust repair. The paint on the car looks good from a short distance or as a fun driver but it has its share of defects. The suspension was not rebuilt and should be. Overall the car's body has a few minor dents, chips and scratches but nothing major as you can see in the pictures. I owned this car 12 years ago sold it and bought it back 5 years ago so I can safely say I know a good part of its history. Here is a list of some of the new parts on the car: New Carpet and Panel Kit New Windshield and Weatherstrip (difficult to install) New Radiator (not recored) New Cloth Bound Wiring Harness Most hoses are new New Electric Fuel Pump with pressure regulator New Heater Core New Brake Master Cylinder New Clutch Slave New Wheel Cylinders New Washer Bottle Rebuilt Ignition Switch New Emblems New Round turn signal glasses with 2 new lamp assemblies New Generator and Tachometer Drive Not counting labor the new parts totaled over $2600 mostly from Moss Motors.. In the pictures you will see under the floor and behind the quarter panels where Bugeyes are known for rusting. Where this one is a dry car. ***Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements.*** I am willing to help get it to a shipper for you for a fee. Any questions feel free to ask. .
