Anderson1951 Store 1964 Galaxie 500 Fastback 2 door built 390 C6 automatic overdrive front disc brake muscle car / hot rod with thousands of hours and many, many thousands of dollars invested in the build with some of the most desirable upgrades available for this car individually listed below. This was to be my friend Jim's dream car build but his tastes have changed and new challenges have come along and space does not currently allow too many toys in his driveway and I have been assigned the task of presenting this car for sale. My shop has just completed the exterior paint and detail which is nearly flawless. I have not discovered any major areas of rust on this southern car, just a small spot on the passenger floor and battery box both easy fixes and the trunk is solid. If you don't have a bit of the showoff in you, this is probably not the ride for you. Loud and fast best describe and, although not a perfect show car, a nice starting point for some final cosmetic details and fine tuning which we will leave to the next lucky owner. They will hear you coming and watch you til you are out of sight! The good stuff listed below: 390 Big Block built by Blair's Speed Shop, Ca a few thousand miles ago, Sealed power pistons, Avery and Child's Xtreme piston rings, Clevite rings, ARP bolts, Cloyes Tru Roller timing set, Edelbrock heads, Performer intake, and water pump. Engle custom ground cam, Airtex heavy duty 427 fuel pump. Holley 570 Avenger, Ford performance applications headers, Cal Custom valve covers, MSD 6A Ignition adjustable from dash with Blaster coil and pro billet distributor, Master Power 60 amp alternator with battery relocated to trunk. New starter. C6 Trans rebuilt and modified by TransAction in Sunland, Ca including Art Carr 2200 stall converter, and Gear Vendors under/overdrive and manual, custom balanced and rebuilt drive shaft. Master Power Disk Brake conversion front, rebuilt rear. Quickor front and rear sway bar setup, KYB Gas Adjust Shocks, 427 Solid front lower control arms, 1 1/2" drop coils and 2" drop blocks Griffin aluminum radiator, new gas tank and sender, Magnaflow Performance XL mufflers dual exhaust 2 1/2" exhaust pipes to 2 1/4" tail pipes with chrome tips. Easily over 20 grand invested to this point. Front and rear bumpers rechromed with rare accessory bumper guards, stainless side trim straight and clean but could use Argent silver touchup in inset area. Very nice chrome wheels with a small ding in the front right wheel's lip, easily repairable. Tires are performance rated and full of tread. Windows and doors open and close as they should and windows have no issues. Lights and guages all present and working and you will need a set of wiper arms. I can change out the rear tail lights for a more traditional look if the buyer chooses. The bad listed below: The interior could use freshening up, carpet is acceptable as is the dash. Could use a weather strip kit. Very small touchup in the lower rear window corners. There is no stereo included although I am including an amp and boom box loose in the trunk and the cutouts and wiring are in place for your rear deck speakers. You will notice in the latter pictures a shot of the front right cross member which struck a curb and was dented 4" long. This has not been repaired except the crack which developed was mig welded and the alignment rechecked out ok. Not sure how this damage affected the title standing since the insurance declined to pay for the repair and the car has not been re-registered since. Front hood letters need to be attached. Vin decodes: 1964-Atlanta-2 door fastback-352 4 barrel and the warranty label reads 63B(2 door fastback) A (Raven Black) 75 (Red trim) 07E (May 7) 22 (DSO Charlotte) 1 (axle 3.00:1) 4 (cruise-o-matic) Jim says the next step he planned in the build would be to upgrade to a posi rear end and the interior details.
