You are looking at my 1972 BMW 2002. I have just returned from a two year deployment to discover that during that time someone had stolen the very expensive car cover that I had over it. The paint has not fared well during that time in the Florida sun. I had it painted the original Malaga about 18 months previous to my deployment. There is clearcoat peeling on the roof and fading on the hood and trunk lid. I am confidentthat the hood and trunk will come back, but the roof will need repainting. The engine is running, but it is running rough. After two years parked, it started up, but has me stumped as to why it is running so badly. I don't know what the problem is, as I am not a mechanic. Not driveable as it stands, but it runs well enough to drive up on a trailer. I have replaced the thermostat and most of the hoses and have flushed out the radiator. Battery is new. The interior is in very nice condition. Seats are almost perfect. Carpeting in good condition. There is a rare and working Becker Europa Am/FM radio. The wheels are the rare Tii aluminum wheels and are complete with the center caps and lug nuts. Brakes are good. All glass is good. Two speed wipers are working properly. All lights work as designed. I am going out of the country again in a few weeks and have come to the realization that my 2002 will only get worse before I have the time to properly restore her to her former glory. I would like for my car to go to someone that has the knowlege and resources to keep her in pristine condition. I have enjoyed driving this little BMW and have driven it on a 1000 mile round trip with no problems whatsoever. I blame myself for its present condition and don't want to see her deteriorate any more than she has. On Sep-18-11 at 07:00:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the clutch, pressure plate and guibo were new just prior to my going overseas. I have ordered a new clutch slave cylinder and it will be in on Tuesday. I will install later this week when I have time. The headliner is in very good condition and does not need replacing. The interior is all in very good condition and I'm sure that whomever buys this Roundie will appreciate that the door panels have never been cut for speakers.
