I am listing this ESU (Emergency Service Unit) truck for the company I work for. The truck is a 1999 Ford F-450 dual real wheel two wheel drive. It has a 7.3 diesel engine with an automatic transmission. The truck was purchased in July 1999 by our company. We are the largest housing complex in the world AKA Co-op City. We are located in the north east section of the Bronx NY 10475. This is the exact same ESU truck that NYPD uses. The truck presently has 124, 932 miles on it. The transmission was rebuilt about three years ago and the engine was replaced about three years ago. The engine was replaced because of excessive idle time. We took the truck out of service approximately one year ago. The truck was running when we took it out of service. The truck does not want to start at this time as it has been sitting for about one year. We are selling the truck as is with no warrenty expressed or implied. REMEMBER THE TRUCK WILL NOT START. When the truck was in service it was inspected weekly and maintained by our in house automotive department. The truck is in very good condition for an 11 year old vehicle. It has a heavy duty push plate on the front and a custom body on the back to carry all the emergency equipment. The interior shows normal wear and tear for it's age. All the emergency lights and sirens were working when the vehicle was removed from service. Any equipment shown in the rear compartments will be removed at the time of purchase. If the vehicle is purchased by a non police agency the police decals will be removed or spray painted over. All the lights and sirens will stay with the vehicle. This vehicle would make a great movie prop or heavy duty service truck. The vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder as this will be a no reserve auction. The vehicle will be available for inspection prior to the end of this auction. I recommend that you come and inspect the vehicle and make your on decisions as to the overall condition. Remember the vehicle will not start, it cranks but will not start. The vehicle is being sold as is. It will be local pick up only from our property. All cost related to removing or shipping of the vehicle will be be the responsibility of the buyer.
