Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth Duster Here is an excellent project for anyone looking for a Duster to make a 340 4 speed clone. This car started life as a 318 2 barrel, manual steering, manual 10" drum brakes all around, 3 speed manual shift on the floor and 8 3/4 rear. It was also originally K5 Burnt Orange but the previous owner thought it would look better green. I personally would have left it burnt orange. It was painted about 1 year ago and stored inside. The engine compartment and door jams are all painted too. The hood is not painted as the previous owner was going to put a fiberglass six pack hood on. The paint on the car looks to be good quality but does need some fine sanding in places and a good buffing to be perfect. The body is real straight and solid. There was rust on the lower quarters but it was cut out and patches welded in. The lower trunk floor extentions still have a few rust holes (pictured) but not bad and can easily be fixed if wanted. The spare tire well was cut out and a fuel cell put in. Other than what I mentioned the body is nice! No under coat on this car so you can see how nice it looks underneath. I have the original gas tank, tank straps and fillerneck if you want to return it to original. I also have access to a rust free spare tire well for an additional $150 if interested. The interior needs redone but is there, even the one year only floor shift steering column. I also have an extra back seat and original steering wheel to go with the car. The gauge cluster has aftermarket gauges in place of the originals. The under dash wiring is still in place. The under hood wiring is in a box in the trunk and has the mopar electronic igniton conversion. All the glass is in good shape and original to the car. The trim and lights are all there too. I don't have a grille for the car but they are around. The 8 3/4 rear end has 3.23 open gears, new U bolts, KYB shocks and leaf springs. The springs dont look great because they have overspray on them. I don't have an engine or transmission for the car. The previous owner took them out and sold them prior to painting the car. This was a running, driving car before the paint job and has only been off the road for about 1 to 2 years. Look at all the pics and if you have questions please ask. Yes there is a reserve, its less than the buy it now. Thats all Im saying about the reserve. No bidders with 5 or less feedbacks unless you ask me first. $500.00 deposit via paypal is required within 48 hours of auction end. I can store the car for as long as needed but the car must be paid for in full first. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND GOOD LUCK!!!
