Vehicle Detail
1969 Triumph 650cc TR6c Trophy, competition model, classic Desert Sled, RUNS GREAT, smooth riding bike, original 10k miles (I put 6k on the bike) always stored inside. Bike is in original unrestored condition, including gas tank paint (very light fading on top but still shines), frame and side covers, garaged all its life, Matching frame and engine numbers w/ clear title. NEVER restored, runs perfectly and has been professionally maintained and serviced by my father who owns a motorcycle shop. I am the 3rd owner (purchased by me in 1989), The first owner came into my dads bike shop and said he bought the bike in 1970 without the TR6c high pipes that the dealer changed them to street pipes, has the TR6c mufflers, you can restore it to original pipes if you prefer. This is not a newly uncrated, perfect bike, has normal light wear for a 40 something bike, the rear fender has a bump (see photo) but it isn't bad, few dings here and there but nothing major. This is as close as you can find to an all original, unmolested, clean 1969 Triumph TR6c competition model, most were chopped or ragged out, off road. The TR6c (TR6SC) is the bike Steve McQueen loved. This is basically what the new Triumph Scrambler is based on. http://www.hermys.com/triumph/scrambler/http://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorcycle-reviews/triumph/2008-triumph-scrambler-ar49565.html (copy/paste to see) I would also ask that if you are looking for a bike to chop up and make a bobber or chopper to PLEASE consider another, less original bike. My father also has a few other classic Brit bikes, including a restored 1975 Trident T160 750 that he has putting up for sale on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1975-TRIUMPH-TRIDENT-/270815949164?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item3f0de3716c PLEASE RED BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID: A non-refundable Deposit of US $500.00 PAYPAL within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment/pickup required within 10 days of auction close. Cashier's Check, Bank Wire or Cash in person is all I will except for the rest of the payment. Before placing any bids, PLEASE make sure you are over 21, have the funds available NOW and intend on completing the transaction, this is a real auction, not a game. Offered for sale as is, with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping. I Can "NOT" arrange shipping for you, if you plan on getting a buddy to come get the bike in his pickup or you plan on using a shipping company, "PLEASE" check with the shipper on cost and make sure your pal can do it and has someone with him to help load the bike BEFORE you bid, AND BRING STRAPS! ATTN: USA bids ONLY, I will cancel any bids outside the USA.
