Vehicle Detail
This is likely the best mechanical condition high mileage caravan you will ever find. I am a former chrysler level 4 technician (highest level) and this has been my car since 2005. It had 55,000 miles on when I purchased it. I never drove the van broken it was always repaired as needed immediatly. The most recent repairs were about 10,000 miles ago when I replaced the Torque Converter (had a TCC code) ,Oil pan, rear main seal (put modern style in) and valve cover gaskets. The tires are all good and the left front is nearly new. During the cash for clunker program I was able to upgrade most of the interior to LE status.(does not have the memory seats) Notice the front door pockets and premium stereo. The stereo conversion is complete with choke and all speakers. The door speakers function as woofers. The stereo sounds great. I have 3 programmed remotes. There is no loosenes in the suspension. The struts are in great shape. The rear shackle bushings were replaced early this year with neoprene models. The van is smooth and quiet. Anyone that drives it remarks how nice it drives. It uses about one quart of oil between 5000 mile oil changes with synthetic oil. Front pads are new and rears drums have plenty left. No pulsation. The van has the optional load leveling shocks with the standard sport rear spring this gives it the slightly "jacked up" appearance. When loaded the van levels out to a normal level. 24mpg is possible on the highway if you keep it under 65mph. I typically get 17 mpg if my wife drives she'll get 18.5 with mixed driving. I got 21 MPG on a camping trip this summer with the van fully loaded , a roof box and bikes for over 400 miles round trip. City driving kills the fuel economy. I have replaced at one time or another the following that I can remember easily, rebuilt transmission at 60,000 miles O2 sensors, fuel sending unit, head gaskets, front struts, wheel cylinders, cluster, sway bar links, spark plugs with platinums, and ...well that is all for now. See more pictures here https://picasaweb.google.com/robwouds/Van?authuser=0&feat=directlinkFor full disclosure here is what is currently wrong with the van if you had a technician look at it., Some weepage from the water pump, some weepage from the front crank seal some weepage from the solonoid pack. Pretty much any caravan over 50,000 miles looks like this. Probably would be a good idea to change the timing chain at 200,000 miles but there is no recomended interval for timing chains. It has no spare or spare holder. I never flatted because I always use premium michelins! Only the water pump will need attention in the near future. I may even get to it before this listing ends. Park it overnight and you will have no drips on the driveway.I will gladly service the van for the buyer in the future. Having purchased a 99 subaru with 150000 miles as a fixer upper I can easily say that this van is way better in terms of cost to repair at high mileage!!Bid with confidence. This is great Van. Many extra parts including rims will be availble for the buyer after the sale at garage sale prices. The box of parts shown is included.
