1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle This looks like your typical in need of restoration Super Beetle and for the most part it is but there are a few exceptions. First the Bug will start and run. The engine is a 1600 dp. It is a 4 speed manual. The seats are intact, There is no carpet inside, the headliner is white and in decent condition. There is almost no rust in the car at all, YES the floor pans are solid, (there has been a previous repair done beneath the battery) To be truly road worthy it does need gone through and your typical issues addressed, brake work, struts, etc., but here is where the exception starts. This car comes with the first years worth of warranty records, including diagnostic printouts from Volkswagen dealership. Also included are various supporting documentation from the dealership such as the emissions data pamplet, tire load data pamplet, and even the ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL with the original owners information written inside. Still attached Inside the owners manual is the Warranty Card and on the Warranty card is the stamp from the Volkswagen dealership showing that when it was new the dealer installed air conditioning. Yes that is right, being accessories such as that were dealer installed options back in the 70's this is a Texas car that when it was new had A/C installed upon delivery to the customer. THE A/C IS NO LONGER IN THE CAR, from what I can see the only part of the A/C remaining is the ductwork in the dash along with a blower motor to push air to those ducts. That doesn't change the fact that this is a very rare opportunity to own and restore a VW Bug that actually has the documentation to go along with it. The A/C components are available they just need purchased.
