Vehicle Detail

This is a very nice little 1967 MGB that would make a great project for an enthusiast. 1967 was the best year for the MGB and is the most sought after. This one was part of a package deal I had purchased. I don't have the time or room to finish this one but wish I did. It has a very straight body on it. The sills are solid, the floors are new and there is no rust save a few very minor places (see pictures). This car has a clear, numbers matching Georgia title. The auction includes everything you see in the pictures, which is most of the parts to reassemble her (too many to list). Most of the parts and hardware are in labeled containers and bags. It comes with two top frames, one early scissor type and one later fold back type. It comes with the gauges, original wiring harness and lots and lots of parts. The engine is reported to have been rebuilt and running very well when removed for the restoration. It is the correct engine for the car being the "High compression" unit that came in the 1967 cars. The cylinder head has likely been replaced in the past as it has the ports for exhaust gas recirculation. It has the original banjo style differential that came in the roadsters in 1967 and the original 4-speed gearbox. The engine turns easily by hand. The front and rear suspension have been done as has been the steering. I have not pulled off a wheel to check the brakes I would bet they have been done as well. The spoke steering wheel is in very good condition. It needs a little TLC but the spokes are all tight, the hub is nice and there are no breaks in the rim. A little light restoration and it would be like new. The gas tank has been replaced and looks very good. The wire wheels appear to be in very good condition except for the spare which is usable but labeled "out of round". If you always wanted a 1967 MGB this is your chance to have a head start on a restoration. Many hours have obviously been spent to get this car to where it is now and all of the really hard work has been done. Or, if you have a rusted out MGB and would like to use this body to bring new life to your worn out car, this would be a great candidate. The doors have been reskinned and it has a brand new bonnet (hood). Though it does need a little more bodywork before you can paint, the lion's share has been completed. Please feel free to ask any questions. I will answer as quickly as I can. On sight inspections are very welcome. We can put her up on a lift for inspection of the underside as well. This car rolls very easily and we can assist in loading it on your trailer. You will also need a truck to haul all the parts that come with.
