Vehicle Detail
This is a very basic car aimed at the person that simply desire cheap transportation. The Good: The run runs and drives fine.No rust.No dents. No rips in seats.Tires have less than 10,000 miles on them. The ABS brake system is fine.Clear Title. The Bad: The A/C compressor died. Rather than fix it, I simply bypassed it with a new serpentine belt. Thus, no A/C.The radio antenna was snapped off, so I removed the entire antenna. The CD/radio is aftermarket mounted below the dash. Does not work because no antenna. The driver side window is off its track and will not go up or down. The motor is fine though and the passenger side works correctly. There is low/no brake pressure. Not sure why. ABS sensors work fine and the master cylinder is full with no leaking. Will need looked at! If you know how to work on cars, or if you have a good mechanic, this car would make a great daily driver. In fact, I have used it as my daily for as long as I have owned it - a little less than two years. I travel 50 miles a day up and down the 405. I am selling because I don't have the funds to have the brakes looked at. I will accept PayPal or cash. You must pick up the car, understanding the brake problem - they are soft to a point where they really don't work. That said, after about 15 minutes of driving (slowly, of course. and not in traffic!) the brakes come back to life and work fine. Feel free to contact me with your questions. On Sep-09-11 at 17:35:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Headlight doors go up and down fine. Lights work. The CRT screen functions properly but the horizonal display does fowl up and shake. It does not affect functionality. Teaves system wasn't introduced until 1990, so its not that. I had a 91 that failed so I am familiar with cost. ABA sensors are fine, its the normal 'red light' (not yellow) function that is problematic. I have not had it looked at. On Sep-10-11 at 07:44:09 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is registered through 1/26/2012! It has a third party keyless remote and alarm. On Sep-10-11 at 11:13:49 PDT, seller added the following information: The following comment was emailed to me by a fellow eBayer... Unfortunately, I just don't have the where-with-all to do much of my own work as I live in an apartment and do not have off-street parking. I will certainly attempt to look into this, but I make no promises. "YOUR BRAKE PROBLEM IS MOST LIKELY THE PLASTIC VACCUM VALVE ON THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER. THEY DO GO BAD WITH AGE BUT ARE CHEAP FIX."
