Vehicle Detail

You are looking at a survivior, 1980 Scout II with rare Nission turbo diesel. Starts right up but runs rough till front two cylinders kick in, then smooth as silk. I changed or checked back 4 glow plugs, the front two glow plugs were to involved for me to attempt. I am sure that is the problem with rough idle when cold. Truck runs and drives. There are two rock chips in wind shield and one has cracked about 4 inches. This truck is 32 years old and has rust in all the usual spots especially drivers foot area and floor in back. Most holes are small but a couple are maybe 2" x 7". Drivers inside door panel is missing and window on same does not crank up. That being said this Scout is a solid rare unit that needs a good home, wife said it's got to go. I bought this with a friend and he passed away. I have lost interest in it. Clean title in hand, look in Waverly Iowa. 319-415-7384 cell.On Sep-10-11 at 07:41:38 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention there is a shop manual included with truck. On Sep-12-11 at 12:21:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear debrakayantiques, I have a 1980 scout diesel, not sure if you care, but I have successfully changed out the 2 front plugs, you have to remove the old ones, pull them out as far as you can, then brake off the little threaded tip where the wire mounting nut goes. On the new ones, put the wire mounting nut on, then act like you are going to install them, make a mark on the threaded outer tip, where it hits the injector pump & grind that off with a grinder. When you have it short enough to fit into the head, take off the wire mounting nut, this will clean up the threads. Hope this helps. You do not need to remove the injector pump.
