NO RESERVE AUCTION, (that being said if the bid is not high enough by the 6th day I'm going to pull it off. If you would like to make an offer before the end of the auction ends, email me). I built the truck with the intention of driving it ALOT. I own a plumbing company and I was going to have someone do a vintage plumbing logo on the doors and use it for a delivery truck and drive it in the local parades in my town. I built the truck with the intention that alot of different people would be able to drive it. I knew there was a possibility that my employees might drive it so I set the air suspension up in a way that if there was ever a leak it would still be driveable and not stuck on the side of the road laying frame.... I will list all the different things that I've done to it since I took ownership. When I got it, it was pretty much a stock long bed 1/2 ton small window truck that someone had put a later model 350 in. Other than that here is the list of all that's been done:Complete air suspension, 4 2600lb bags (individually controlled)1-3/4hp, 4cfm 100% duty cycle compressor with less than 2 hours on it10 position switch box, 8 valves, 5 gallon tanknew cab and radiator mountsall new door seals and window feltnew front and rear glassback big window kitrebuilt 700r4 transmission under warrantynew HEI distributor, wires etc. new bed mounted gas tank, fuel lines and fuel pump (I removed the cab tank)dynamat the floor in the cabnew Edelbrock 600cfm carb, (less than 20 miles on it)4 wheel disc brakes, 5 lug conversionpower brakes and steering new exhaustnew tires, (less than 1000 miles)triangulated 4 link with pan hard bar roller rocker heads on the motor, (exact mileage unknown, aprx 80Kthe rear axle came out of a 1996 impala and I did the 4 link because they are stronger than the stock trailing arms and I wanted the truck to be drivable. I used the CPP bolt in notches for the frame notches. I did not want to cut the frame any more than It had to be done and like I said, I wanted it to be driveable when aired out. My long term plan was to put an LS1 in it so I didn't want to put a ton of money into the motor. I thought I'd just drive it until it gave me major problems and then replace the motor at that time. I've never had any issues with the motor. It has plenty of compression and it must have a mild cam because it wants to lope a little. THE TRUCK HAS ZERO RUST other than the usual spots in the fenders and that was repaired. the cab is as solid as it gets. The body is by no means perfect. There are little dings and dents all over but nothing major. I wanted the truck to look like a bone stock grandpa truck thats been around for a couple days. I've taken it to shows and gotten plenty of interest but I did not build it with that in mind. The truck just sits and does not get used. When the air suspension is up it will leak out in a day or two but thats never been an issue. I've looked for any small fitting leaks and I cant find them. There is a small oil leak that appears to be coming from the dipstick on the motor. I thought the trans had a small leak coming from the trans fill tube also but I got under it last night and couldn't see anything. The rear axle has a small leak at the front where the u joint is but it's never leaked enough to do anything about. This truck needs a fan shroud at some point. If i let it idle for too long while sitting it gets warm but it's never gotten warm while driving it. The truck is a great daily driver but if you don't know how to work on trucks, don't buy this one. Theres always something with these old things to be tinkering on. If you want to end the auction early or if you want to come drive it, email me tallskinner@yahoo.com. $1000 deposit due immediately at the end of auction. the balance due when you come pick it up.On Sep-07-11 at 01:13:04 PDT, seller added the following information: HERE IS THE LINK TO THE PICS IN FULL SIZE picasaweb.google.com/100027732635732162131/65ChevyC10?authkey=Gv1sRgCKbWp9DX8-KgLQOn Sep-07-11 at 09:47:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention my favorite feature on the truck.... the Shifter, because the rear axle has the disc brakes I could not hook the parking brake up so I used the parking brake handle under the dash to shift the transmission........ it works great, I've had people get into it and never figure out how to put it into gear until I showed themOn Sep-08-11 at 15:44:50 PDT, seller added the following information: watch two youtube videos here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0ixHg5tSTAhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD1_EaM3FFU&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL The truck has shocks and drives great
