1953 Chevy 3100 half ton shortbed stepside pickup - 235 six cylinder engine - Three speed manual transmission The previous owner built this truck to show in 1976 - At that time there was extensive chrome plating done - These items include the grill, running boards, emergency brake pedal and linkage, door panels, seat side covers, steering column, interior window trim and cowl vent - Rare 15x8 and 15x7 American Racing Standard wheels - Mor-drop 3 inch dropped axle - Gold leaf letters on the tailgate - Chevy car tail lights - Nice black seat - Vintage four spoke drilled sprint car steering wheel Many new parts have been recently installed to make the truck a reliable driver - These parts include the water pump, rebuilt carb, complete tune up, starter, battery, light switch, brake light switch, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brakes, shocks, king pins, wheel bearings, seals, rear shackles, headlight rings, rear view mirror and post, and front and rear window rubber There are three things I haven't got to yet - The wipers aren't working, the heater isn't hooked up and there's a drip from the rear tranny seal. Not bad, but it's there This truck is a really awesome period piece with the patina that everyone is trying to duplicate - The paint is faded but it's all there - The chrome has some pitting but still looks cool - There are a few small dings and scratches - Just paint your shop name on the door and you're ready to go If you have any questions please use the "ask a question" feature in the auction listing - Thank you If anybody cares I put a new muffler, tail pipe, window crank handles and inside door handles on it also.
